wow. sounds like it was a pretty fun fight (except for the immortal lord) but very nice bat rep!
While at my local GW I was asked if I'd like to play a game using the "Rules of Engagement". I almost turned him down because of Necrons but I needed to get a game in. I didn't have a camera and I wasn't planning a Batrep so this is based off of memory.

Monolith
The setup was rather simple with trees in the top right corner and rocks in the top left/top middle. On the opposite side was a nice hill on the left and some ruins on the right. Put some large rocks in the center and your forced to split your army in half. Because we were doing rules of engagement we each had a different mission. Mine was to take any two objectives, my opponent was supposed to hold one objective as well as one of mine. For those who don't know RoE, there are 4 objectives, 1 in each deployment zone and 2 in no man's land. So, let's get this battle started. I had first go.
Turn 1
I placed a unit of sluggas on my objective and the other in the woods where the other objective was, about 8" away. My shootas were stationed in the direction of my opponent's objective with my warboss while my tank was behind them, my lootas behind my sluggas in the woods. My opponent has a unit of warriors on an objective behind a hill with his lord out in front, a monolith next to the hill and destroyers behind a unit of warriors in some ruins.
I started by immediately moving my sluggas through the woods (at full 6", dice love me) so I have my goal already. My lootas move out to get some LoS. I mistake that made the game last longer than it should have. My shootas advanced over the rocks. In My shooting phase I ran my shootas and brought my tank out, around the rocks in LoS of that monolith. My other sluggas stood ground. My tank shot his boomgun at the monolith with no results. My opponent advanced his lord towards the woods and brought his warriors forward in the ruins. His monolith went around the hill and particle whipped 5 boyz to death.
Turn 2
My sluggas advanced further in the woods and shot at the lord bringing it down to 2. The lootas pumped 27 shots with 20 hits and 14 wounds into the lord. (I wish I could've used that on something else). Suffice to say, the lord smashed into the ground. The shootas went over the rocks slowly and then ran a little ways out of it. My tank was stationary and fired again at the monolith with nothing to show for.
The Destroyers sped through and over the ruins while the warriors advanced towards the woods. The lord proceeded to prop himself up respectively and fire into the woods at the sluggas and killed 3-4 if my memory serves me right. The monolith took out 9 more boyz in the shoota squad, and worst of all, his destroyer destroyed my whole Loota squad!!! In his assault phase, the lord swooped into my boyz claiming 3 while He died. Due to lucky dice rolls, I saved successfully for no retreat.
Turn 3
I finally got out of the rocks with half my squad left! However, I could not yet see the warriors and the monolith could still see me! My sluggas stayed in the woods after consolidation. My tank took a sharp right and headed towards the action on the right. Nothing fired this turn however and nothing assaulted.
That lord won't die! He got himself back up and flew right over my boyz and ended right behind them! The warriors on the right advanced forward with 6 in range of rapid fire. With 12 shots, 1 hit, and 1 wound, 1 boy fell! The destroyers postioned themselves nicely behind some rocks in the center and fired upon the boyz in the woods, flaying maybe 4-5. The monlith's particle whip scattered and killed only one shoota boy. Phew! Once again, the lord charged my boyz killing none while it got put down for the 3rd time!
Turn 4
After consolidating, my slugga boyz positioned themselves so 6 sluggas and 2 big shootas could fire upon the warriors in those ruins. In the end 2 fell. My shootas, now at 14 boyz and a warboss, brought themselves around the hill bringing 14 shots with them. Downing 2. My looted wagon got into a good position and fired it's boomgun on the warriors. With minor scattering, 1 died with no save or WBB.
That lord finally died!!! 2 warriors got up. One on either warrior unit. However. Heavy fire from Warriors and Destroyers brought that unit down to 6! 5 boyz and one nob with 1 wound. The monolith whips and scatters off the unit however, the warriors take 10 shots killing 2 bringing my shootas to 13 strong.
Turn 5
Of what was left of my sluggas, they fired into the warriors killing none. The boomgun fires and destroys 2 warriors. My shootas get within 4" of the warriors and fire on it killing 1. Of course they charge! I take out 6 and suffer heavy casualties. My warboss then finishes off the unit.
The monolith is immobilized while traversing DT. However it still manages to bring my shoota boyz to 4! The necron warriors, now at 4 fire on the sluggas in the woods bringing down to the nob who then flees from the field. The destroyers go south and destroy what's left of the shoota squad. Boss included!:(
Turn 6
With only a squad of sluggas who haven't moved an inch and a looted tank I make no movement and see if the warriors will break. I fire on the warriors with my boomgun and take two down. However the pass leadership.
My opponent then advances towards the closest objective. In the shooting phase the warriors run and hold the objective ending the game in a draw.
DRAW!
Final Thoughts
My two biggest mistakes in this game was wasting 3 turns firing at the Monolith and letting my Lootas take the brunt of Gauss Cannons. If those mistakes weren't made, I probably would've won this game. On my opponents end, it seems as though instead of trying to accomplish the objective he turned it into a "I've got to wipe out this guy" thing. I was lucky enough to get the draw however, as my opponent took my "bait" (the shootas). As you could see. My goal was already done in th first turn of the game, I brought my shootas around his flank to distract him. He should've seen through my ruse and fired at the most important unit of the game: My slugga boyz who didn't move at all! Should he have particle whipped them, I would've lost this one fast because of the superior firepower which, as we saw, destroyed my two other troop units.
MVP
My MVP of this game would have to be, ironically, the Slugga Boyz who held the objective for 6 turns! Sure, they didn't do much fighting but they did the most important job of them all: holding the objective!

^+REP IF YOU GET IT^
Maybe its just cause youve done this from memory, but you mention the lord shooting some of your boyz? Since the lords got a warscythe, he cant make any ranged attacks any more, only CC. Just mentioning. Apart from that, sweet batrep... the constant stream of dead boyz makes it sound like your getting mashed, but there always seems to be more :D

Yay, gots me a custom title!Always remember, superglue will adhere anything, even dead birds, to metal
Close but no cigar khaine. The pariahs say in their entry that they have warscythe with built in gauss blasters. The necron lords entry says he can swap is staff 'o light for a warscythe. Nothing mentioned about built in gauss blasters, hence he doesnt get one.
