The problem for England in international play isn't the quality of our team, it's that we have such a competitive/almost hostile national league. We end up with a bunch of guys who distrust/hate each other the rest of the time, and then we expect them to play well together ?

    Default EURO 2012

Any of you watching the games? Who is your favorite team? What do you have to say about the game that you already watched?

Personally, my favorite game till now was Spain vs. Italy...both teams were playing fast and aggressive. Sweden vs. Ukrains was too "by the book" and orderly, and Germany vs Portugal was pretty good too.

Who do you think will win?

    Thanks, Ossai.

I think Denmark winning against Holland is like 2010's Switzerland beating Spain by 1:0...anyone else remember that?

Nah, the Denmark are strong underdogs, much like Sweden in the D group. Even though they lost, much to my grief...

Anyway, back to matters at hand: I don't see Russia not winning this one. Come on, Poland might be on fire right now, but they'll run out of juice I think and then a goal would douse them for good. I think Russia can pull it off, we'll see in twenty minutes how accurate that was!

Post-match edit: well, damn :/ I don't think I'll win any money in the office's prediction game!

CPA, I say it only because I always fall for the underdogs

Farskit, I was inclined to agree, but man did Poland pull one out of the hat. Okay they didn't manage to scrape a win but they were without doubt the better side. Russia's goal came from a set piece in an easy position - thanks to a stupid foul by Poland. On the flip side, Poland created their goal from scratch, and wow, what a goal :)

Yeah, truly an amazing shot! I also was surprised to see Poland so strong in the second half. They did build their goal, though the Russian defense was clearly very slack on the action and deserves the blame. But I liked to see how quick Poland was able to attack and generally speaking I though it was a game of high quality!

Okay, tonight is a big match!

I forecast a victory of the Mannschaft over the Oranje, by a 3-2 margin. I was right in my forecast of the victory of the Selecçao over Denmark, but I didn't think it'd be so heated! To be frank I thought Denmark would keel over and die, but they fought and fought and almost pulled the draw.

For now Germany is winning... Now please score some more goals so I get more points in the ranking :)
