Astro Painting Survivors - Series 4!

Greetings Survivors!

Welcome to the thread for Series 4 which, as we have discussed, will have one particular change from the previous 3 Series. This time around, to ensure a level playing field to everyone, regardless of which time zone they hail from, each person will be allowed a whole calendar day to post their progress pics, as it starts and finishes in their own time zone, rather than strictly by the Astro chronometer.

Now as it is not always obvious where we all are in the world, this introduces a greater element of trust than before, but because this is Astro, I have little concern that people will not post correctly and honestly, so the simplest way to do this I think is to start your progress posting with the date and time where you are.

So, tomorrow (Monday June 27th) is opening day, and anyone wishing to take part needs to post the opening pic of their first project before midnight on Monday. This is just an opening pic, so the current state of the offering doesn't matter as long as it's ready to start or continue work on. I am posting this thread a day earlier than normal to allow for those for whom Monday starts earlier than for others taking part.

As in Series 3, the Series will last for 20 complete progress posting days unless we have a 'Last Man Standing' before that time. Opening Day does not count, as those starting pics are not progress pics. Anyone who misses a posting day for any reason at all is out, no excuses. Posting days will be every third day from Opening Day, so the first progress pics need to be up on June 30th, then the 3rd of July, and so on.

Next. When posting a new pic, you should first post one of your previous posting day's pics so that we can all compare the pics and see the progress that has been made - remember, the key words for posting are 'Visible Progress'. If you are posting the last pic of a completed project, you should also post a pic of the next project you will be working on, so that we have something to compare to on the following posting day.

Lastly, progress is anything from the undercoat to the final base work, though we expect a reasonable amount of work for the 3 days we have between posts.

This is kind of a community project, not a dictatorship, so all aspects of the Series are open for discussion. The main aim and original inspiration is to keep people painting above all else, so with that in mind, Survivors, I salute you!
