wait, what is the smaller miniature next to her?!
Heres my take on the "Living Saint" which I use as a "count as" Canoness with jump pack and blessed weapon. You might have seen her around on other boards, but I hope you enjoy it nevertheless.

Looks like another Celestine model, just 1) further away and 2) not on a scenic base that adds height.
As for the mini itself... OSL is overdone (here and elsewhere) for each light source (lava and helmet). The bits on the wings looks like blood at first (and fifth glances), and it looks like you got a bit over-excited putting down paint for the effect. Less is more, and mixing in the color of the surface you're adding an OSL light to helps make it look more convincing.
i like the reflective effect on the rocks ,
i think it's a tad overdone on the wings ,
should be just a hint ,
really nice model overall ,
BTW how you doing I.D.![]()
I.D... when the bloody hell did you show up dude?!
over done osl or not (osl is supposed to be ott imo), i still reckon this is a striking piece with a lot of character. i'm especially fond of the skin tone (although it's hard to make out from this pic) which is as smooth as something which is really smooth on a smooth day iirc!
"Only the insane have green enough to barstool...only those who oscillate can truely grope what is wallpaper"
Nice saint.
Now, take a deep breath. Repeat after me "This is a miniature wargame forum. This place is only as good as I make it. The decision is mine. It does not control my destiny. It does not effect my paycheck. It does not make my mother love me any less. It is a fun place where I can talk to others that feel the way I do."

I must admit I thought the red on the wings was blood. In fact I was about to say "I like the bloodstained wings!" until I read Con's post. I also thought it was blood on the rocks until I saw the top-down shot of the lava. Having said that, it is a striking looking piece of work and thoroughly deserving of some Rep I feel.
last time I checked, feathers cannot reflect anything?

Not like a polished metal plate, but they do reflect light. OSL works for any surface; check out the Dwarf in this article. If you overdo it, the effect is cartoonish and/or doesn't convey the effect you want. More reading.
