Well, it's a pity that they are basically ultrasmurfs, but it's a nice little collection you've got there! I have to say I enjoyed the basic idea behind the color scheme of the honor guards. That bluish metallic effect is quite cool, and with a bit of work that could look absolutely spectacular! Nice stuff, thanks for posting!

What's impressive and comendable is that you have it completed. Too many people out there don't have a completely painted army and end up fielding plastic and metal. You have done an excellent job finishing your army and I would play you any day of the week. Good job.

Thanks. I like blue, but I didn't want to do an Ultramarines army, so I compromised a bit and made my own. The metallic blue is a Reaper Pro Paints color (don't tell the guys at Citadel), and I use it to signify Artificer Armor on those pieces that wear it, and also as the trim color for the First Company.

    Here are some group shots.

I'm trying to get a pic of Chapter Master "Lucifer" with "Eclipse" Honour Guard and Chapter Champion, but I just can't seem to get a focused picture of them. I'll try again later. I gotta go to work.

In the end, that's all that counts- if you're happy with it, then that is all that's important. Personally, I might have gone with a different sort of blue, different groupings or perhaps down the crimson fist route, but if you can look at your army and say "yes, I like it" then you've done well in my books!

@Artsoldier: Can't think of anyone who might be doing that. >.>

I second this. It is a big task to get a full army done. I am still playing about 25% of my orks as plastic after being sidetracked time and again over the past 3 years since I started them.

Oh yeah. It took me two years to get 2K points of Orks painted and only then because of the Rumble in Richmond. I still have another 2K of Orks to paint however and now I added about 1K Eldar. Lot's to do.

Thanks. Like I said, I like blue, and Enchanted Blue is my favorite of the Citadel blues. Being colorblind makes the shading difficult, but as long as the pots are labeled, I don't think I go too far wrong. :)

Of course, for really impressive flames, have you checked out Asrian's Balrog? Looks like they are actually glowing. Very Impressed.

Got to agree with the blue flames, they look grand.
