I say go for the codex style: rules, pics and fluff but leave the marks and commentary off. If you want to put a nod to the rankings, mention it at the start of the article or something like that. Let them enjoy the characters as they are and make their own judgements. Besides, the commentary means very little to anyone but the maker.

Laurels are do-able. Include the images for those as a separate file (in other words, not in the MS Word file) and leave a note somewhere about which entry gets which laurel. We'll format it as necessary.
