How are you painting the skin? How are you painting the metal scabbard? Did you thin your paints, especially the metallics, and use at least two layers for each color?![]()
I thinned the metals, I think.
The skin was done like this:
A mix of Tallarn flesh, Vomit Brown, and Space Wolves Gray 1:1:2
then the same but 1:1:4
A glaze of Asurmen Blue
A drybrush of Dehneb Stone.
I may have to go back over the scabbard...

That's an odd recipe. Try adding in some more shading and layering. The current look is very flat.
Yea, I know, but I am not sure how to continue it...

Try this:
Tallarn Flesh
Brown wash
Tallarn flesh but avoiding crevasses and areas where the skin meets armor/cloth/etc
Tallarn Flesh + Elf Flesh
Elf Flesh + Skull White
Skull white extreme highlights
Linky to the Masterclass article on painting faces, you'll need to be signed into GW's online store or whatever that is.
I would, but I don't have any Elf Flesh.

You can get a similar color by mixing Bleached Bone with a dark brown, or Bleached Bone with Tallarn Flesh. Don't add any red to keep it nice and pale.
