Madicon 18 and 40k Events

Greetings!

My name is Lauren Avjean and I am running Madicon 18. Madicon is an annual non-profit SciFi/Fantasy convention run by the James Madison Univerisity Science Fiction and Fantasy Guild. This year Madicon takes place on March 13-15, 2009 in the JMU Festival Center in Harrisonburg, VA.

I wanted to let Astronomican members know that we are hosting a Warhammer room (both 40k and Fantasy), where tournaments, Apocalypse, and random gaming will be going on all weekend! If anyone lives close enough to make the trip to Harrisonburg for a weekend I would love to see you make it out for it! For those of you who also enjoy the computer versions of 40k, we have a LAN room where DoW and DoW2 will be played as well!

Make sure to check out the website for all of the events and activities, I just wanted to let you all know about the Warhammer room!

Hey guys! Just letting you know that we've scheduled an Apocalypse tournament Friday, March 13 from 6pm until 2am. On Saturday Warhammer is going on all day, but a tournament(s) (both 40k and Fantasy) will be running from 11-6 (points and format TBA)!

Also anyone who would like to play DoW and/or DoW2 in the LAN room and doesn't have a transportable machine - there will be a limited number of extra machines to play on (my personal baby included) :mrgreen:

Hey guys! Just an update: we're having the Apocalypse game Friday night from 6pm-2am, and on Saturday we're having both a 40k tournament as well as a Fantasy tournament. There has also been an interest in playing some Mordheim, so there will be a number of attendees looking to put together some friendly games apart from the tournaments.
