If you have no Identity, then who are you? PT1

Ok guys, I\'m experimenting here with identities. I want to write a piece that doesnt identify anyone, and so allows you to draw your own conclusions. Naturally this may lapse slightly and end up a little confusing and in fact may hit well wide of the mark!

Either way, I\'m going to try it and see what happens.

A blinding flash of pain stung the back of his eyes. A sense of self awareness returned and when the pain had faded enough there was a twitch as tiny bio-electrical pulses tried to fire the muscles of the eye-lids to prise them open from thier stupor. Slowly, and tentatively the muscle tone returned and the twitching became a conscious effort and his eyes slowly opened. A dazzling light greeted his retinas and a few moments passed before the iris began to close, reducing the light intake and the glare of the halogen lighting overhead.

\'Vital signs have peaked and it seems that the subject is rousing to consciousness. I don\'t think we\'ll have long to wait now.\'

A shadow in the corner of his vision moved away, leaving again, only the blur of lights. A beeping noise began to register in his ears, although he wasn\'t sure if it was there all along. As his thoguhts passed through his mind he came to realise something quite profound. He was completely unaware of who he was, or in fact about anything at all. Time was a concept he knew of but did not understand, and the language that was forming the thoughts in his mind was something he could not remember ever learning. He not only had no idea of who he was, but where he was, was also a mystery to him. Another shadow, this time more defined entered his vision, and moved close to his face, his eyes more able to focus and register the detail of the person examining him. There was a slender nose, and eyes, probing deep into his soul.

Suddenly a bright flash appeared and his vision flared from his control for a split second.

\'His eyes are responsive. The operation to restore vision has been successful it would seem. I tihnk it\'s time to move onto the next stage. And tell the commander that I still think this is wrong!\'

The shadow moved away, and the vision began to shift again, registering the lighting overhead. Something was missing. Or perhaps he had gained something? He was unsure. Time? Such a foreign concept, but for some reason he knew it would tell all.

He relaxed and sleep overtook him. Another concept he was grappling to understand...

Well I have no plot to it, I\'m making it up as I go along, but there is an ineresting twist in it that I came across that you will see later....

A lot of players here will appreciate it...

That\'s enough of a clue for now...
