Open challenge, pistol duel!

You heard me... id like an orrignial test of skill so for this battle its pistols (or an appropriately sized ranged weapon) only.

The young warlock stepped into the sand, oblivious to the sounds of the crowd around baying for blood. she, drew her sword, and dropped it on the floor, instead leveling her pistol at the doorway opposite her, every atom of her being focused on what was about to enter.

Rogue Trader Karl enters the arena of death. He nonchalantly puffs at the Iho stick pressed against his lips before throwing it aside and drawing his prized duelling pistols.

This was going to be a piece of cake.

the warlock continued to scope down her shuriken pistol, while probing out with her mind. she didnt have to be psychic to sense the confidence and arrogance leeking off this man. his very aura smelt of it.

very well, lets make this interesting.

as she dived to the side, her finger brushed the trigger pad, spraying the entire area around her opponent with razor edged death.

Karl dived to the side as the hundreds of shurikens flew at where he was scant seconds ago. Still he was not fast enough and one managed to cut his forearm.

Momentarily paralyzed with the pain the Rogue Trader dropped clummsily to the ground before sending a salvo at the silent xenomorph.

Impressed with his marksmanship despite the wound he had received, the warlock calmly drew a rune from her belt with her mind, and held it infront of the oncoming blast.

a brilliant blue sheild formed, absorbing the blasts as they impacted, but something was wrong. as the last blast was reduced to nothing, the rune shuddered, then with a mental scream similar to nails on a chalk board, it exploded into dust.

the warlock fell to her knees at the sound, hands clasped over her head. the sensation was both pain and sorrow, every rune was individual and that warding rune had been given to her by the farseer who taught her on her path. it had always there to protect her, and now it was destroyed by this crude mon keigh, destroyed with his primitively overcharged weapons, destroyed as they destroyed everything they came into contact with!

\"you... will pay mon keigh!\"

with that she charged towards him, finger pressed right down on the pad, disecting the ceramite magazine in seconds as the air itself moved to make way for the shurkien disks hurtling towards her target. the weapon useless, she tossed it aside, bracing her mind as she charged towards the enemy.

she would dust his bones as he had dusted her most precious posession...

Karl, who was trying to recover from the last onslaught was forced to make another ungraceful dive in order to escape the wrath of the enraged Eldar.

As he threw himself to the ground a second time his body suddenly froze in mid flight. Crashing to the ground his legs took the worst of the flying disks turning them to ribbons in a matter of seconds.

The disgruntled Trader desperatly tried to keep his mind together as he atttempted to reload another bombardment.

the energies from the eldars mind were spiraling out of control, her spiritstone shining brighter than any sun as her deadly emotions drew in the presence of the great devourer... it was pulsing nearby.... it was everywhere, it was feeding on her very essence!

with a shreik orelshida made one last desperate attempt to regain control of her mind... and won. barely. skin had been torn off her body in strips, as if something had been clawing for her heart. she staggered from the arena in a daze, desperate to simply sleep, and recover from her mental tourture.

the trader was left bleeding on the ground, unconsious from the psychic shockwaves released, medics scrambling over to repair his shattered legs.

the eldar pulled herself together while standing in the gateway to mutter a few words, that travelled across the space between them into the traders subconsious...

good match my friend! i was impressed by your willingless to let your character get hit, rather than just pull off some acroabtic feat each time i came close, that ive decided you were worthy of a draw.

Excellent match my friend. I\'m sure that Karl will get a few bionic repairs and gain an unsatisfyable thirst for revenge against the mysterious Eldar who took his legs away from him.

Unfortuntly I never signed up for the ole tournament, next time though, next time.

I think I\'ll keep Karl as my main duellist because I think he works rather well and save my Vampyre Raven for special occaisans.
