Gigs

Well, that is me been to my third proper gig (you know the kind. Involving famous bands, not your classmates in a school gig) and my goodness what a gig.

First up was a Band called Idiom. Never heard of them before, but they were not too bad.

Second on the line up was the band I initially went to see. Eluveite. They were just awesome. It was their first time doing a tour in Scotland, and we made sure that it was an incredible one . They have also seemed to master the bass drum, so that it makes your whole body vibrate and you feel like you are going to explode. It is one of the best sensations ever.

They mostly played their new album and my favourite song is Quoth the Raven. Was brilliant to hear it live.

Then was 36 Crazyfists. Well, they were incredible. Setting up pits, and a few walls of death (which of course I had to get involved in, despite being a skinny runt with a spraigned ankle). What is even better and just completely made my night was that I got to meet the singer, and get his signature and a beer with him.

Finally was Devildriver. They were also pretty good, but if I am honest, Eluveite and 36 Crazyfists were better IMO, and no one so far has managed to change my opinion that Sabaton are one of the best bands to see live.

Looking forward to December, when I see Disturbed and Papa Roach live now.

Damn my ears are still ringing.

first gig I ever weant to was to see jethro tull when I was about 11, im afraid I dont remember much about it. The first one I remember properly was seeing metallica plus monster magnet supporting in dublin when I was 15. It was brill apart from I nearly didnt get in because I wasnt accompanied by an adult, the bouncer said I wasnt allowed in, I was nearly in tears, then some big hairy metalhead behind me in the queue said 'wee man! your my little brother ok?' god bless you random rocker

Oh, man, I still have a dream of seeing Metallica and Iron Maiden live one day.

    That would have been awesome.

Funny thing is, it is usually the metalheads, with piercings, tatoos, and long hair, that are avoided by the general public like the plague, while the neds are not.

Metalheads are some of the coolest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Until it gets into the pits, then it is everyone for themselves.
