Right, I am going to be completely honest with you, perhaps I was a bit pre-emptive with my last blog, in which I was not having such a good time. Now however things seemed to have turned around. At uni I have made some good friends with people on my course, and back here I have managed to weedle my way into a new group (with only me and three other Scottish people, to around ten others) and I have to say, I am quite enjoying it. The French are always friendly, as are the dutch (get the dutch guys in with the french and the hungarians and we have a great laugh, taking the mick out of each other.)

Had my first assessments this week, first being a group presentation in which we had to pitch an idea for an advert for Dog Buiscuits (what does this have to do with Computer Animation I hear you ask? Well, I have no idea, but hey, its a required part of the course so...) and the second we had to use flash to make two cars race around a predetermined track, in which I caused one of mine to crash, twice

Finally, for the other module (I only have three modules, and am only in three days a week for half a day) we have to make our own working 2D game by the week back from Christmas. I think that will be the most challenging, as it is using C# code language, of which I am not very proficient with at the moment.

Oh, a word of advice, never call a belgian person french

yeah uni life is pretty 50/50, you either have a hard time getting ahold of anyone or your suddenly in a none stop party. i had the same issue in my first year, i'm now in third year and, well a good example of the turn around is i'd got out drinking 1-3 times a month in first year. this week i've been asked to 5 days worth of parties... oh if only i had the budget.

you'll love uni life once you get past the first term or so, and you find your niche. glad to hear its going better though!
