Ive just won a mini tourney with, my friends and i need to say a lot to do with the Generic deamon, the ' fear ' and with S6 T6 and a marine I its still pretty good considdering how many attacks he has G deamons are cool as, i read a WD with a chaos army list, totaly not my syle deanmon prince has MOS and slash of submission (again new tatic and payed off) allowd my deamon prince to ahnialte units usually out of range,

an d the oblitz wiped out units form afar, loving it.

so my arguement is the G Deamon isnt all that bad, altho wouldnt pay 30 bucks for it lol it ahnialates units ( apart from high attack gene steallers) ,

what do you all think??

Generic daemoms are much underated. Best of all they can be summened and charg into combat. Yes they are weaker but getting them where you need them and into hand to hand has proved a battle winner for me.

So Greater Generic Daemon well worth it's points.....

yeah i know for 10x10 points the only think i dont like about them now is their Iniative

and dnt forget that they gey a 4+ inv save. defo worth it as they elso have t6 (if memory is rite) tho it was genestealers with acid maw that killed ur deamon prince and g deamon (mwoahahahahaha) and u dint win still levelon points tho u had a game in hand but the decider mactch was next but u were to tired haha i demand a rematch!! oh ps how was the hangover the next day haha

Yes don't forget used as a shock attack element the Daemons can be a big surprise. Sure you have to tell your opponent you have them, but with enough Icons dotted about they will have no idea where you will drop them.

Personally I favour a charge up in the Rhinos first turn then a hide behind something, as close as I can get too a unit. Then the Daemons hit the board and charge right into hand to hand. They might not win but can tie up units for a turn until your rhino based unit hit the same now deminished unit.

Or chosen flank marching with an Icon, lovely grub......

Also suits my Choas theory of daemons as desposable fodder in a marine army....Always more Daemons where as Choas Space Marines are preciouuuuusssssssssssss....

im not a big fan of them, i would rather have some more normal CSM anyday

Yes Choas Space Marines are good, but daemons are whet makes them different from Smurfs. and in three, two, One CC appears and he and Kharn fight it out.

Being able to summon daemons is a good thing it is unexpected and they are not really that bad in hand to hand in large numbers.

I find myself with two units of ten now and am looking to pick up a third very soon. So they are cheapish, can assault on the turn they arrive if you position them properly and are fearless.

Whats not to like, oh and they take up no slots on your army chart. Bonus!

But they are an aqquired taste and take a bit of skill in deployment, I would still rather have them than the real daemons of the other codex, all that standing around and getting shot to bits offends the custard gods...
