good evening all, i am currently in the middle of creating a non chaos renegade chapter and need a little help with the fluff. what i have just now is ... a chaplain has a vision of the destruction of the imperium (ties in with the time of ending in the rulebook), so this chaplain decides it is up to him to carry on the name of the imperium and starts preaching about his vision and starts to gather followers, the imperium see this as blasphomy and declare him a herectic...

the army on the tabletop obviously has a chaplain as hq, and is made up entirely of infantry no tanks or transports. i know a lot of ppl will think this is mad but it goes with the theme that the army being "on the run" so i am just looking for ideas for expanding the fluff and adding more depth. any suggestions will be much appreciated......

Hi Khaine, its good to see someone else making a renegade chapter. My self created chapter Saints of Polaris is a non chaos renegade chapter, I read up on the Soul Drinkers chapter as they are the perfect renegade chapter neither heretic nor loyalist, so check them out. Heres a handy link http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Soul_Drinkers

I started out with the renegade chapter Relictors , but I didnt like how the fluff didnt really say what happened to the escapees of the purge. So; I decided to create a splinter/renegade chapter which is being hunted by the Inquisition. You can really have fun creating renegade chapters cos' there is lots of scope for developement where loyalist or chaos chapters are limited in some aspects.

Right for you chapter you state the chaplain has a vision; I suggest maybe using a librarian instead, due to his psychic gifts which would enable him to have visions and the like. I like this idea of travelling and preaching lots of scope for names, scheme/look and ideaology. My advice would be to get some ideas down front them on here get some feed back as it really helped me.

Hope that helps abit :)
