This is just a provisional list using what Iíve already got and what I plan to get during A Tale of X GamersÖ

Heroes:
Saurus Scar-Veteran
Hand weapon, light armour, blessed spawning of tzunki, sword of might, maiming shield. 142pts

Skink priest
Level 2, dispel scroll. 125pts

Core:
11 Saurus warriors
Full command. 198pts

10 Skink skirmishers. 60pts

10 Skink skirmishers. 60pts

Special:
3 Saurus cavalry
Musician, standard bearer, Huanchiís blessed totem. 245pts

3 Terradons. 105pts

Rare:
1 Salamander Hunting Pack. 65pts

Total:1000pts

Iíve never actually played a game of WHFB before!

Not a bad list there mister big bad orksie.

I recommend you drop the salamanders, as rare choices are a bit wasted in 1,000pt army(unless you have already bought them, in which case use them) I would also recommend you squeeze in another squad of saurus warriors, as it\'s always a good idea to have a nice solid core of saurus in this kind of army. Perhaps drop some skinks or the terradons.

Yeah the only reason i got the salamander in there was cos i bought one and i had a great conversion idea for it with it spitting fire!!

To get another unit of saurus in i was thinking maybe tone down the scar vet, use a level 1 priest and get rid of some skinks or the terradons...?

Good looking list there, curious to see how those saurus cavalry will perform. Bit expensive saurus character, although I have the exact same problem with my WE characters ;)

yeah I\'d tone down the saurus leader, he\'s way too expensive. It all depends on how you play really. See, for me, I prefer to have a strong solid core before I start thinking about special units, but others like to rely on the specialised units. Your choice really

Way too many points put into this character drop most of this and just have the basic of a great weapon and a good arnour save

Skink priest

Drop the scroll no point
Core:

complete waste these need to be at least 15 under the new rules to have any sort of inpact on the game.

10 Skink skirmishers. 60pts

Make these scouts

Drop these complete waste of points they will be a points sink and for 3 of them it isn\'t even worth it drop for a unit of kroxigor

Alright

Rare:
1 Salamander Hunting Pack. 65pts

Again complete waste of points the onyl way to have these is in a unit of 3 in 1.5K so drop these and add a another unit of saurus or korigor.

In general this army list is very poor it lacks mostly everything. You have very little hitting power in CC and also the units that you have (saurus cav) are pointless so just go with the standard list of Cheap scar vet, skink priest Lv2, 2 units of saurus, skinks and kroxigors

No its 11 basic warriors plus a musician, standard bearer and champion which brings the unit up to 14 so the scar-vet can join in the front rank.


Special:
3 Saurus cavalry

Same again 3 basic saurus plus the musician and standard bearer brings the squad up to 5 strong.

Some would say harsh crit there but cheers anyway everything will be taken on board I need all the help i can get if i\'m going to win a game of WHFB!

No it doesn\'t mean that! For this it means that 3 out of the 11 sarus that you have are a champ, standard and a muscian, Not what u mean. if that is the case you would have to pay for 14 or 15 models and then upgrade 3 of them to a fullcommand. So therefore you would still have a unit of 14 or 15 not a unit of 17

No worries mate. It happens to all of us. if you had seen some of my first lists you would be saying the samethings to me as well

15 inc command and hero is a good number, getting +3 combat res already.

The cavalry might not be up to much if their is only 5 of them,you would only have to kill 2 to force panic.

i dont really know much about lizardmen but i know they are one of the most powerful armies. Id keep it how it is and try and see if you can get a practice game.
