Yes all of the loyalist primarchs either died or disappeared. The traitor primarchs are almost all alive and daemon princes, I think Fulgrim at least died

well, different things happened to different primarchs. Leman Russ disappeared soon after the heresy, but before he left he prophesied that he would return for the Wolf Time. Lion El\'Johnson was struck down by Luthor when he returned to Caliban to discover that he had fallen into apostasy, he is now lying in state within the Rock.
Jaghati Khan dissappeared, someone else will know more about that than me. Ferrus Manus I have no idea.
Fulgrim, magnus and angron are still going strong. I think Alpharius is as well as Perturbo.
Papa Smurf is in a stasis field apparently healing from greivous wounds.
Night Haunter was assassinated in the Eye.
not sure what happened to rogal dorn.

Night Haunter aka Konrad Kruze was killed by an Imperial Assassin in the eye of terror. Rouboute Guillman was killed and in a stasis field back on Ultramar. Leman Russ just up and left with all but one of his wolf guard.
Alphac was killed by papa smurf. Ferrus was killed by Fulgrim.
ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND you forgot about the best primach ever!! You know, the dude who controls the death gaurd. HE alived and unwell:P

@ DYP Typus? He wasn\'t their primarch was he?
NO Mortarion stupid, the coolest primach pre-heresy!
Fate of the Primarchs
Traitors
Warmaster Horus was killed by the Emperor of Mankind, and his soul was obliterated. His corpse was completly destroyed by Abaddon the Despoiler, who also took over his place as overall leader of the Chaos Space Marines.
Magnus the Red rose to the rank of Daemon Prince of Tzeentch.
Angron rose to the rank of of Daemon prince of Khorne.
Mortarion rose the rank of Daemon Prince of Nurgle.
Fulgrim rose to the rank of Daemon Prince of Slaanesh.
Lorgar rose to the rank of Daemon Prince of Chaos Undivided.
Perturabo rose to the rank of Daemon Prince of Chaos Undivided.
Conrad Kurze, aka Night Haunter, was assassinated by Callidus assassin M?Shen. He allowed her infiltration, apparently wanting to die.
Alpharius was killed by Roboute Guilliman.
Loyalists
Ferrus Manus died at the Drop Site massacre at the start of the Horus Heresy, and Fulgrim presented his head to Horus.
Sanguinius was slain by Horus after refusing to join him.
Lion El\'Jonson returned to his homeworld of Caliban only to discover that his friend and second-in command Luther and the Dark Angel garrison had turned against him2. He led a strike force of his own loyal Dark Angels against the traitors. He disapeared amongst the inferno as the world was blasted apart by a Warp Storm and a bombardment from his ships in orbit. He sleeps deep within the Rock, the biggest piece of Caliban and current homebase of the Dark Angels1,2. Only the Emperor and the Watchers of the Dark know of this secret.
Jaghatai Khan disappeared as he was pursuing Dark Eldar into a webway portal after they had managed to raid Mundus Planus. Rumours abound that he fights there still, lost in the twisting paths of the Webway. After nine thousand years it seems highly unlikely, but not impossible.
Leman Russ disappeared in the Eye of Terror. The Space Wolves hold a legend that says Russ went on a quest to find a means to cure the Emperor. His last message reported that he was near-death, but that he would return for the Wolftime.
Rogal Dorn boarded a Chaos cruiser during a Black Crusade alongside a company of his sons and died fighting. He was one of the last Primarchs to die. Today, all that remains of him are the bones of his hands that is housed in the holiest shrine of the Imperial Fists chapter. Another theory states that he now commands the Adeptus Custodes.
Roboute Guilliman was struck down with an envenomed blade by his former brother Fulgrim. His body is perfectly preserved in a Stasis field at the heart of the Temple of Correction3. It is rumored that he is alive and that his wounds are slowly healing, something normally impossible in a stasis field. The truth of this rumor is unknown.
Vulkan disappeared. The position of Chapter Master, filled by the Captain of the First Company, is considered to be a regency as the Salamanders believe that Vulkan will one day return and lead them on a great crusade against Chaos.
Corax was racked by guilt and shame. In order to rebuild quickly the strength of his legion from the Dropsite massacre on Isstvan V, Corax accelerated the growth of the gene-seed organs, producing more Space Marines but this process also deteriorated the Gene-seed, causing many to become hulking monsters. Riddled with guilt over what he had done, Corax administered euthanasia to all of them and then locked himself away within his sanctum, the Raven\'s Tower. Exactly one year later he left his tower, haggard and gaunt, and took a small shuttle craft with the words Never more. It was last monitored setting a course for the Eye of Terror.

Good find Dyp, that\'s pretty much all you need to know.
You could also add that after the First War for Armageddon Angron was banished to the warp by the Grey Knights. He should be due for a reappearance in the not too distant future if I\'m not mistaken though.

Don\'t worry about that matey, just copy and paste the website address/book title whenever you source something. That way you don\'t have angry people knocking down your door to bust your legs for stealing their property (fair enough it won\'t happen with Wiki but some people, like GW, are all too happy).
Cap\'n Caveman, the Alpha Legion don\'t need their primarch. He spent so much time drilling them and prepping their commanders that they are able to fully function in any conditions without their leader. This was proven in the battle where Alpharius died. Guilliman killed him with a stroke of his power sword and the Ultramarines thought that would be it, that they\'d cut the head off of the serpent and it was going to die. Unfortunatley the Alphas operate more like the Hydra that sits on their shoulder pads. Killing one head isn\'t enough, you have to eradicate the lot. The Ultras took a pounding, retreated into space and bombarded the Alphas from their ships. Alpha Legion rock!

apparnetly there are rumours that alpharion isnt dead.

I\'ve heard that before too, would be his style too, the sneaky git. But in the Index Astartes fluff Roboute Gulliman fought him one on one, and that Alpharious certainly fought like a Primarch. They burned his body too, I don\'t think he was that mutated or malformed that Gulliman would mistake his own brother. Its hard to find a stand in for a giant like a Primarch that\'s for sure.

There is a special wikipedia for this: \"Lexicanum\"

There is 3 possibilities for the lion el johnson, one he is sleeping in the rock which well according to my local gw is very untrue, the other is he is cypher the fallen angel and the last one is that he and luthor are one person and hes being held captive, though of all of these if you read he codex it either points to him being cypher or him and luthor being one or the other put a spin on it luthor could be anyone

That\'s wierd considering Codex Angels of Death specifically stated that the Lion was laid down in the deepest vaults of the Rock unknown to the Dark Angels. Only Luther and the Watchers know. Since there\'s nothing since then that contradicts this or updates the situation, I would say its safe to say that this is canon.

Very true, but based on what theyve done with the updated stories and how its been written theyve changed it in a way that points away from the fact hes still on the rock apart from the luthor angle, the issue really is who is cypher, it`s obvious hes just not a standard fallen angel with a bit history why else would games workshop keep pushing him into everything

The word of god:
Lion El\'Jonson: In the rock.
Fulgrim: Daemon prince
Perturabo: Daemon prince
Jaghatai Khan: Missing, pressumed by this stage to have died of old age.
Leman Russ: MIA until ragnarok.
Rogal Dorn: Hands recovered from a chaos battlebarge, where they were found severed admist a fair number of black legion corpses. Presumed dead, though more likely MIA.
Night Haunter: Dead.
Sanguinius: Dead
Ferrus Manus: Dead
Angron: In the warp.
Roboute Guilliman: Dead, though smurf fans will have beleive he is infact alive and well, just \"healing\" in stasis.
Mortarion: Daemon prince
Magnus the Red: Daemon prince
Horus: Quite quite dead.
Lorgar: Daemon prince
Vulkan: MIA following istavan V
Corax: Throwing a strop - MIA
Alpharius,: Dead.
;) these are the facts, conjecture asides.
though;
\"It\'s all official, even when it\'s self-contradictory. Complying with continuity isn\'t a requirement for canonicity.\"

I haven\'t read the new codex, I\'m intrigued by everyone talking about this possible Cypher/Lion angle. I hope they\'re not thinking about doing that. Its the same thing as Alpharius earlier on in the post, you can\'t really mistake a Primarch for another marine can you? The size is too much to not notice, not to mention the fact that the Dark Angels captured Cypher during the 13th Black Crusade, I\'m sure they\'re drilled in DA history enough to know what Johnson looks like!

they did catch him, but once again he escaped, yeah there is the size angle but reading some of the stories some of the people on the primarchs founding planets were equal in size to them. In saying that though GW are pushing it that way to maybe change it with something else once again

the only reason cypher is so important is that he somehow managed to get lion\'s sword.
HuronBlackheart

anyone could have the sword that doesnt really mean much, if you read the stories its always about something else, GW go bust theyll spill more stories than a novel writer think vampire masquerade, theyll never fully tell youtheyll just leave subtle hints that point in ll sorts of directions
