Hey all... I\'m 18 living in the PA, and I\'m obsessed to the point of INSANITY by Table Top Games.

I\'ve heard from people I am in fact INSANE, and I have good artwork... XD. I\'m a powerlifter, and most likely can kick your ass so be nice!

I\'ve heard I\'m cute... but that was by a bunch of sexually frustrated nerds that seem to live in only WoW...

I\'m probably the only girl you can find that is proud to play that game... and who kicks her boyfriend\'s ass at it as well........... ^.^

So say hi! I don\'t bite too hard.

Welcome Angelica

Good to have a girl on the site, we\'ve had a few passing through but I don\'t think they were really interested in the game.

Hope you stick around, what armies do you play BTW?

I\'m admin around these parts any probs let me know.

Cheers

Hello from Choas, powerlifting eh!

So what do you squat, bench and deadlift....

Remember it\'s all relative to your weight so if your 8 stone and can bench twice your body weight then I am impressed if not then keep doing those high reps....

Heres a question have you tried the triple drop method of training.

Insane but effective, basically load up the bar when your benching up to the max you can do then start.

After you can\'t do any more don\'t put the bar back just lock your arms then get two people to stip about 5kg off both sides then repeat until your chest explodes or you run out of weights.

Works great but I can only do this every other week....

Welcome to the site, I look forward to your arena fight with Hawke.

You should at most be doing a triple drop set once a week max on each muscle group. Yes it is very effective but doing it to often is just overtraining and counter productive!

As for Angelica

Welcome to the site...it is indeed strange to have a girl (though a powerlifting one at that)...but I am sure you will fit in just fine!!

Yes triple drop is effective, but I find problems sometimes in getting two people to spot for me. So it\'s every other week, safety first you know...

But back to the important stuff, tell us more about your armies and games!

Yes I am in the picture but so is Dim and alot of the other regulars, hey can you guess who\'s who?

Lady\'s first!

I think I\'ve already said it but welcome to Astro Angel.

I\'m amazed no-one has tried to associate me with the VP yet! although in that picture the sailor is black, so somewhat difficult! I was never as much of a YMCA fan as In The Navy! must just be me!

No I don\'t think it\'s because your a girl, some people just click with Astro and it seems that a lot of the regulars already know you from elsewhere.

I know a couple of female 40k players and you know what they say, never play a kid or a female because they have the best luck and seem to jinx your dice.

Worst ever defeat for me was a 22 year old woman, hammered my Imperial Guard in two turns, two turns.

Three Leman Russ on the second turn from the front with Lascannons. Ouch!

I still have nightmares and had to excecute five of my dice for rolling bad.

Microwave death....

Powerlifting and bodybuilding are two different things. Powerlifting focuses on your strength. Body building focuses on tone, formation, and look of your body, such as muscle definition...

In other words, I have boobs... female bodybuilders don\'t.

Anyway!

Lol yes, I\'ve jinxed my boyfriend\'s dice far too many times... he will only play if I am allied to him...(yeah we do play alliance games sometimes... then we just turn on each other whichever team wins.)

hey, i dont usually get around to saying hi or welcoming anyone, mostly because im lazy, but i figured since the topic of sports came up, i might as well :)

powerlifting focuses also majorly on your nervous system and its all about power, which is completely different from strength

powerlifting->snatches, cleans etc, require much much more than strength, they require you to move a large amount of weight quickly

my deadlifts went up from 250lbs, to well over 350lbs, but i still couldnt clean more than 90kg? it was around 200lbs

but, I wasnt a powerlifter I was a speed athlete, as The Vulture already knows hahaha

my favourite excersise ever, was ghg raises, glute hamstring raises, there was no better excersise for keeping my hamstrings fresh, popping, and injury free(until i started doing a lot of heavier weight and frequently) i actually matched my trainer who is an international powerlifter...WOO FOR ME!...only thing i was proud of hahaha

you planning on training for competition? or just for enjoyment?
