right, what you need to do is link in the image source, are you trying to include a raw image, or link from a photobucket?

Knight of ne
07-12-2006, 09:01 PM
the pictures are direct from my files on my cp

07-12-2006, 09:02 PM

Aun O Vader

I\'m with archon on this, if you go to photobucket (www.photobucket.com) and set up an account then you can upload your images onto their server and then link them into a thread.

Knight of ne
07-12-2006, 09:09 PM
right so shall i just create a normal link?

Right, there\'s some really good pics in here, some nice WIP\'s (even if I do recognise that fire warrior colour scheme from somewhere?)

A couple of hints on taking photos, try and get the camera so that it focusses upon the model. The trick is to keep the camera a fair distance from the model and then use the focus macro (normally looks like a flower on most cameras) and it will focus upon the specific target.

If you want to know more about how I got the pictures to work then if you click edit on the previous posts then you will be able to see what I did with the code to get it to work.

Looking forward to seeing more from you soon.

Oh, and while I think about it, the egg came first, obviously!

dont worry auno, i didnt steal your coulor scheme its another variant of the bork\'an one plus the blacks for anti-tank units only.

thanks for the tips and help auno and no one knows the real answer about the chicken and the egg.

Aun O Vader
08-12-2006, 12:13 PM
it must have been the egg first, otherwise where would the chicken have come from, and before anyone starts there is no known record of any birds giving birth to live young, so it wasn\'t there!

I\'m not actually bothered if people use my colour scheme, i\'m trying to proliferate the use of the H\'Th sept around the world!

what about one of the tiny cells all life spawned from( theoreticly)

Aun O Vader
08-12-2006, 09:11 PM
they weren\'t chickens, what must have happened is that some form of proto-chicken produced an egg from which a chicken hatched.

Knight of ne
08-12-2006, 09:13 PM
or maybe aliens genetically engineered a bird and it became the first chicken, the possibilities are endless.

Ziggy Tempest
08-12-2006, 09:16 PM
all that matters is that some sort of egg came first
case closed

Knight of ne
08-12-2006, 09:17 PM
what if the chicken was genetically engineered from a whale then it couldnt of been born in an egg.

Ziggy Tempest
08-12-2006, 09:20 PM
huh why would they choose a whale
and who would create chickens in the first place their the most stupid of all birds:laugh: :cheer:

well there good at running away from things and perhaps aliens like the taste of chicken.

w.i.p. fire warrior (http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o121/knight-of-ne/22-12-2006004.jpg)

w.i.p. space crusade dread (http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o121/knight-of-ne/22-12-2006016.jpg)

but basically, this is what ive done lately.
And yes that is part of my bedroom you can see!!!

Aun O Vader
28-12-2006, 11:55 AM
cool looking models there KoN, the firewarrior could have done with a couple more layers of thinned down white on the armour, just to make it a uniform colour (don\'t ask how many coats I have to use per squad!). The battlesuit is looking really good, how did you make the posed arm? did you use my method from my modelling article? But the paint scheme looks nice!

sadly the drones aren\'t in focus (although the carrot paint mat and the B5 dvd case are!)

the dread is looking really cool, probably the best of the lot!

btw you have a lot of dvds!

Knight of ne
28-12-2006, 12:00 PM
sadly ive got to the point where i cant give a toss about painting firewarriors.
yes i did use your article to pose the arm.
i cant get the drones in focus sadly, i blame the mat because it is impossible to blame B5.
i agree with the fread been the best of the lot there.

and thats not even halve of my dvds or videos.

28-12-2006, 05:24 PM
Pretty good stuff there Ne. Pretty soon we Tau shall conquer the world of Warhammer!

right, castus i tryed to do the power sword the way you said but i needed to substitute a green:

power sword (http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o121/knight-of-ne/25-12-2006001.jpg)

sorry for the dodgy pic.

should i add a wash of DA green over it? thoughts?

Captain Castus
01-01-2007, 01:46 PM
Yeah... You could do a wash over it to make it \'greener\'... But I suspect you\'d have to re-do the lines again afterwards... Then adding tiny flecks of very light green along the edges of the blade (at the \'ends\' of the lines) should help make them stand out... As long as you use very small amounts of paint you can keep fiddling until you\'re happy... Generally speaking, the higher number of shades of green you use the more \'complex\' the end result...

p.s. I notice you are a Chelsea fan! Good man!!

his sword arm is still w.i.p.

what do you think about the power sword and waht are your thoughts?

Viscount Vash
02-01-2007, 05:07 PM
Swords nice Ne,
he is good overall (nice to see you used the Latin).

02-01-2007, 05:13 PM
I like it Ne, although if the sheil had said invictus(undefeated/unbeatable) it might\'ve made it look more... kick-ass.

But that\'s only to people who understand latin of course;)

looking really good KoN, I approve wholeheartedly. I also like the use of Accredo as a name, but thats because I think Invictus has been overused, by people going to a latin dictionary and typing in unbeatable! maybe its just me!

02-01-2007, 05:25 PM
There\'s a latin dictionary?!?

finished champ (http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o121/knight-of-ne/angelchampw-6.jpg)

any thoughts? c+c welcome.

02-01-2007, 10:56 PM
you really need to thin out your paint, its very thick

and as for shading beige you need more contrast, right now it just looks like yellowed white paint(like from smoking) try some browns and stuff it doesnt add much painting time and adds tones of character and coolness

i suggest looking into using a wet palette simply because it makes painting faster

paper towel, parchment paper and some form of container is perfect, ive had paint sit on there(with a lid on of course, but not fully shut) for a week and still be wet

thin paint is the key to nice looking models, you will be able to blend with thin paint(even simply quick blends that arent perfect..which are great for armies)

03-01-2007, 12:23 AM
I like the scheme but like Starks said its a bit to thick.

Knight of ne
10-01-2007, 07:33 PM
