While I was tooling around, someone had mentioned Gorkamorka, which is a game I had played once a loooooong time ago. I did some searching and I found something neat;

Official GW (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?catId=cat1290025&categoryId=1100014%C2%A7ion=&aId=5300012): Out of Print Games PDFs download site.

It has Adeptus Titanicus, Dark Future, Gorkamorka, and Mighty Empires (wait, I thought that was still ongoing...)

Enjoy!

Funnily enough in my cupboard I have...

Dark Future, Adeptus Titanacus and all of Seas of Blood, thats is the expansions and some of the ships.

But rep for giving the younger people a link to download some really good games....

Dark Future would take some tinkering with I think - dunno where you'd get 15mm post-apocalyptic figs anymore...

Double all ranges and sizes and use regular stuff?

Inquisitor Alex

That didn't even occur to me ! You should change your title to "Laz the ingenious" :)

There are quite a few companies that do 15mm post apocolyptic stuff.

Your googleFu is weak young one....

Cars are no problem as the matchbox ones are generally right on the money as per scale.

Also its a relative we are after all wargamers and have artistic licience...

Kharn - I never looked it up, had no idea I could still get the rules for DF ... Have to check that out now.
I like Laz' idea for doubling range, move, etc - that opens up waaay more possibilities :)

Hey, someone should try that with Inquisitor, except half all the ranges so we can use 28mm minis!:p;)

most rule sets are out there (official or otherwise) if you don't mind doing a bit of googling. And I'm not talking about, nor advocating any sort of file sharing sites. I find it handy to have a pdf backup of rules etc... even if it's just to stick em on my phone for something to read on the bus.

as for gorkamorka... one of the most fun games ever (and my first ever gw boxed set). I encourage everyone and anyone to give it a try!

Here it is all nice and official by the people at Games Workshop themselves.

No need to err break any laws...

You mean the link I started this thread with?

kharn the betrayer
17-09-2011, 09:50 PM
Yes that link, some one mentioned that you could get the games rules online and to stop people looking I thought I would repost it again.

I did give you rep for that link first time around though....

People are lasy and need to be told things over and over again, at least I do....

Yes, that's exactly it. The Link (http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/content/article.jsp?community=&catId=cat410008&categoryId=1100014&aId=5300012). However, I believe that my attempt at humor was rather obtuse.

Very cool stuff, though I also figured Mighty Empires as still going....GW is certainly promoting the tilesets well enough.

Where as GW's attempt at humour with the game 'Trolls in the Pantry' was rather obvious! I prefer all the little tit bits of humour scattered throughout the length and breadth of the Blood Bowl rules.

me too somewhere... and the mutie tents & spaceship from digganob.

Inquisitor Alex

Awesome :) I never got the digganob expansion - do you have pics of these bits ?
Wish you could still get the Digga models and the muties - Diggas would go great in an ork army, muties would be AMAZING chaos guard roughriders !

I still had a squad of these old Necrons until I sold them this last April. I still have the scarabs tho, such nice models... and big, too!

A fact that always struck me as bizarre, since you are forbidden from playing any of these games in a GW store. Even games that are relatively wide-spread like BFG are unwelcome, due to GWs brilliant "only currently supported games" policy.

The oldest ever model I saw that looked like a Necron was the old android from Space Crusade.

@Eternus.. yeah i remember those android figures, think space crusade was 1990?
Here's an android next to a necron>>>

and there's me thinking gorkamorka had the claim to oldest necron sighting... well done that man, and have some rep for adding to my citadel trivia bank

(and some for eternus for first stating the fact)

a game that should get redone is warhammer quest as more or less all the pieces are already there in terms of the monsters and the heros

Eternus

Or we can just play the original. There isn't much you can reproduce yourself as long as you have the rule book and some models, though there are a couple of balance issues as the warriors advance through the levels.

Thanks for the links guise, but I couldn't find the download for "Trolls in the pantry" anywhere ^^
