Finished this guy a while ago but only had time to take pics today.
Since I lasted posted pics in my WIP I painted up the Crux Terminatus gems as Farskit suggested, and added a few other finishing touches here and there...

the colours and clean look is great. The gold eagle on his chest is great too.
Two little niggles; the cloak transition from cream to purple could be a bit sharper (bit that really is picky on my part) and also, he seems to lean a bit far back, though I guess that thay is down to the actual sculpt and not you.
+rep for such a great model. Well done

Thanks for the comments and Rep guys!
@ domdan, you're right about the edge of the cloak, it's a bit messy. I'll go back and fix that. I think he's supposed to be leaning back slightly, but that's exaggerated by the fact my camera wasn't straight, so the photos are taken at a slight angle!

Very nice! I'm just about to start painting my Imperial Fist Master of the Arsenal.

Quick question. Did the pommel of your sword break off at all. Mine was already broken when I got it.

Couple of suggestions from me that haven't been mentionned (just to be annoying :p):

(1) The pistol holster and sword handle grip could do with more of a highlight - they're the only parts of the model that don't really stand out at all.

(2) I like the silver highlight on the top edge of the chest eagle, but I think if you also gave the top edge of the feathers a fine highlight it would look even better!

But yeah, the sword looks stunning and the gold border on the inside of the cloak was a really nice touch to break up the creamy colour.

Good work! (...as always )

Xenocide, you are annoying, but you are also always right  – thanks for the comments and tips

@ Skring the sword hilt did indeed snap off! I also lost it so couldn't reattach and made a replacement out of a piece of paperclip and some green stuff. Then that broke off too. In the end I bought a replacement model off eBay (I won the original in a competition anyway so it was free) and used the sword from that. So now I have a spare without the sword. I'll probably convert it and stick a storm bolter on or something, paint him up as a different chapter for a one off...

EDIT: Just realised you said pommel and not hilt. With mine the whole hilt and pommel snapped off. If it's just the pommel a blob of green stuff should do the trick?
