Somehow my local games shop managed to get the books and stuff in already and I bought it. Its and interesting book and the rules for the special monsters are pretty fun (who could resist a 7 wound bloodthirster with 9 attacks?)...
However I do get the feeling that GW is trying to force people to buy a small army of Daemons Vampires or Tomb Kings due to the sorcerous pacts section of the book

Anyway I'm not sure that its worth the money but I want to get other people's opinions of it before I pass my judgement.

plus Zoats

I think the inclusion of Zoats is totally unecessary, firstly.

Secondly, I'd say it's more trying to flog the Tomb Kings. Though let's be honest, both undead armies are very cool. I quite like the entire idea actually, should get the book myself. Going to tailor another Orc and Goblin list to work with it. I was wondering, do you have any idea if arachnaroks can attack those on a fulcrum? Despite having a howdah, it's one miniature, and ignores terrain so could scale towers etc.

Also, any idea on what monsters can be bound other than those they've told us about?

Wow. Thats a lot. Might just have to have a stegadon, swarming with goblins instead. What's different about a bonegrinder giant?

Basically the same thing that is different between the normal and exalted greater daemons... it has bigger stats.

Though note that any monsters you summon dont come with their crew, the cold ones are riderless as is the Arachnarok

Riderless arachnarok/spiders just sounds like it's time to turn up the theme on my forest goblin contingent a notch.

Exhaulted Lord of Change? Sounds like win, must get my FW one built for it now

As for the book, I'm still waiting on the postman for mine but the game looks fun. Anything that adds new content for warhammer and mixes things up a little is always welcome in my mind.

Cant wait to use An'ggrath as an Exalted Bloodthirster....Might have to re-do the War Mammoth too.

My copy arrived yesterday, its a very nice looking book. As for the rules etc, i've only had a quick scan really but they seem like they could be fun, if not very random with spells ending games, I also like the bound creatures rules, though fluff wise I have a problem with all the armies being ale to summon everything!! (morally I don't think some of them would). Although the game can be played at "normalish" points levels I think it is ideally designed for huge ones (esp with the spells deleting multiple units/characters).

I love most of the monsters all of them seem to fall perfectly in certain armies. The dragons are cool because you have 4 different stat lines and then 5 different types of breath weapons. The exalted greater daemons are amazing....if your playing games above 3k and it be your only bound monster you'll ever have. All the rules are easy to follow (suprisingly). Terrain changed but was expected. Spells are not as scary as they kept making them sound and the rules in casting those spells depending on the fulcrums make the game very controllable and you dont have dark elf players landing on a fulcrum then whipping out undispellable (if thats even a word...) spells of destruction. Only thing that saddens me are the magic items....really if you even try to read past the one actual good magic item (the first one) you think GW is crazier than they already are because none of them are worth the points to buy.

Did anyone see the fancy, cool new dice yet? Now they are pretty lousy dice but I'm not quite sure I want to pay $9.90 for only 6 dice when you can get almost a whole cube of dice from chessex for around that price. The new miniatures are great looking but I just started learning the rules so I'm not sure if I want to purchase this supplement yet. Oh well.

It's also big enough to thunderstomp units with large target
