I've been working on Malifaux pretty much exclusively lately. I built three tables and have started my crews.
Here is my Perdita crew starting with Perdita
Here is my Santiago
Here is Francisco
Here are a few models that are WIP from my Rasputina crew.

Looking good Chris. With the amount of people switching to Malifaux (myself included) it will soon be the dominant system on Astro xD

I like the blue-grey coats on Santiago and Francisco. Love the pose on that Santiago model...

Welcome to Malifaux. Watch your step as you disembark from the train. And remember, Wyrd things happen...
Perdita's crew are what my young fella went for. Looking good. Look forward to seeing Raspi herself, cold bitch that she is.
I have McMourning, Pandora and Somerteeth Jones crews.

This crew was the first one I bought back in june of last year. I've been so busy with Warhammer that I haven't done anything with the models. Currently i have Raspy, Marcus, Seamus, Perdita, Lady J, and Nicodem. The one closest to completion is my Perdita crew. I have a few more models on the way from Wyrd and as soon as they get here I'll have a 45 SS crew painted for games and tournaments.
I like the fact that I have less than $100 invested in the game for this one crew and its FULLY fleshed out. Also did you guys see that they are finally releasing the terraclips?

Niņo is done. I wish he looked more like a little kid. I know he isnt 12 but from a miniature and fun standpoint it would have been really cool!

And here is the crew so far together. One shot with flash which oddly is the one with the darker background, and one without. You can really see the highlighting in the one with flash.

I don't like the model and he doesn't work well with the crew so I wont ever run him. I have other models on the way for the crew. Abuela and a Convict Gunslinger. That's this crew. Perhaps some Witchling stalkers for large games....

Convicts are great. Look forward to seeing it

never heard of Malifaux but those models look great ,and the great paint job sets them off really well ,thanks for sharing and educating a nonMalifaux'ist
Nice work as ever Chris, have you though about running the executioner with your crew for some strong melee?
10-06-2011, 11:00 PM
Yes I did and with three obey a turn I can pretty much do what I want on the table. Its going to be a very strong crew. Don't miss the fact that I have two gunfighters in the list for melee also:)

How'd I miss this!
Great looking crew, Chris!
Might I ask what recipe you're using for your flesh?...I like how deep it is. After so long painting Orks I feel my flesh technique is a bit flat.
Can't wait for more!

Done justice to that convict, Mate.
You got gunslingers for CC, I have Teddy...

Picked him up m'self...along with the Dreamer kit, and some Daydreams...

For the flesh I started with a Heavy skintone from Vallejo's opaque line. Then I went with an extreme line highlight on his muscles with vallejo elf flesh to show just the high parts. I then washed with ogryn flesh. Then I went back over the model and blended in elf flesh to make the line highlighting disappear. I then used a heavier ogryn wash. It took a little longer with the blending and I suck at blending mind you, the wash did most of the work for me.
I switched exclusively to Vallejo's paints use GW metallics, and GW washes. I find the paints from Vallejo superior to GW but GW got the metallics right and their washes are the best on the market in my opinion.
