So I have been wondering for a couple of days about some things I have re-read on the Necrons dex about how the Enslavers overran the whole galaxy after the war and the C'tan going into stasis, and started to think:

How did the Eldar survive the Enslaver plague? It is stated on the Necrons dex that "the galaxy would become a barren wasteland" and that in the future new species would rise. But the Eldar were there during the war (well, the Orks too, so the smae question applies). Is there any lore explaining how did any of these two races survive the Enslavers going rampant on the galaxy for some million years?

Well, the orks is an easy one. Every time one dies he releases hundreds of spores, that grow into other orkoids. The only thing that can completely kill off the orks is Nids, as they strip all organic life from a planet, thus no where for the spores to grow.

And for the eldar... that's probably where the old ones showed them how to use the webway, to prevent their race from extinction.

Yup. Just like Commorragh (sp?) can never be found by conventional means, but is actually inside the webway, I bet the Eldar shrouded their planets inside the webway, too. Remember that there were no Craftworlds back then, as the Fall hadn't occurred yet.

Oh and the Yngir and C'tan HATE the Warp, so they couldn't enter the webway.
