These are some of my more careful work...I liked the idea of them. I wanted an army of specialists (and I was bored with my High Elves).

The Champion is one of my better pieces, the "transfer" on the back of the mon is handpainted...

Very nice, I like the hand painted motif on the back.

So what rules would you use for these models.

The armour is nice and crisp with no overlapping onto the skin that I can see.

Hereit comes....Mighty Rep from me

Woot rep!

Sorry had to be excited there for a second...

Kharn: There was a box game with rules for these figs, and they sold blisters and box sets around the games stores locally. I have NO idea if the game is even played anymore but the figures were rather well crafted and they were pretty reasonably priced as well. I enjoyed painted them a lot, some of the other figures in the game were a bit over detailed which made it hard for simplistic painters like myself to get them looking clean, but the Crane Clan stuff was pretty easy, lots of kimonos etc with large flat areas for applied mon (japanese heraldry).

Be excited I rarely give out rep.

So when I do it is well deserved, and these models deserved it.

Practice makes perfect (unless your me).

I would like to see some of the other models that are in the box. So paint them up and if they are as good as these ones you get another Custard Cream (Rep)

Grazie for the rep again, however I am sad to say that I never bought the boxed set, these guys were all blister packed. I have a couple courtesans that I have yet to paint but they really don't interest me as they are not part of that particular unit. Soo...sadly all of the duellists in my collection are painted, and there they are!

...other stuff eh....

How about Gyudon for lunch for the next week? FROM SCRATCH! ooooorrrrr....howsabout thinning the bevel on my new Sujihiki to a reasonable 20 degrees followed by a full sharpening progression so I can pop hairs off my arm with it? Or maybe re-beveling my Honesuki and polishing the edge? Oh! and don't forget a thorough cleaning of my front brake calipers and replacing some unevenly worn pads...with the rear on the docket for Monday? Does that count as "other stuff"?

;)
