That's some really impressive work! I'm not personally sure about the halo-effect, but it's a great piece of work, well done!

Prepare for some critic from another professional artist,
Lighting; you've chosen too dark a palet, whilst it work for the orcs skin, you loose the majority of the detail in the black background. Since you haven't given a strong light source to pinpoint the colour work it ends up mixing together to form a rather dull mid tones,
Gobbo and da lad; whats going on with the gobbo's grey nose? i'd also, if you fancy revisiting it i'd change the hand holding the knife. the fingers look awkward and the blade looks too small for something an orc would be picking up, even the gobbo would look a bit silly with it.
Some positive notes, the forearm and parts of the gobbo's looks highly detailed. Beisdes the lighting issues and the backarm, its very good work

Prepare for some critic from another professional artist,
Sure, give it away.

Whilst I enjoy any form of critique that will lead to me improve, you should look up the old masters a little, and also fix the settings on your screen. There is no dull tone, there is a strong lightsource and the background is not detailed as it is supposed to be in darkness.
Gobbo and da lad; whats going on with the gobbo's grey nose? i'd also, if you fancy revisiting it i'd change the hand holding the knife. the fingers look awkward and the blade looks too small for something an orc would be picking up, even the gobbo would look a bit silly with it.
Again, you should alter the setting of your screen somewhat, the gobbo got a quite clear and saturated blue nose, not grey.
The orc isn't holding the knife, he's holding the top of the hoodie of the gobbo. The fact that the orc isn't holding the knife should be pretty obvious concidering the position of the thumb, so I'm assuming it's a case of screensettings really.
Some positive notes, the forearm and parts of the gobbo's looks highly detailed. Beisdes the lighting issues and the backarm, its very good work

Cheers, it's more of a study really...

I have to say I disagree with Hawke entirely. I think the use of lighting (which ranges from the pitch black of the background right through to bright highlights on the armour plate and helmet) is excellent, and makes for a very striking and atmospheric effect.
The feeling I get from the image is that the Orc is throttling the gobbo in secret in a dark room, and has been interrupted by someone coming through a doorway behind his left shoulder (which is where the light is coming from) and he's turning round to tell them politely to go away
@ Hawke, I never knew you were a professional artist!? Is that in an employed or freelance basis?

Arbaal is aweomse. Love how the eye is drawn right into the eyes by the lighting...
