Hey all, BFG seems to have taken a sweep through my local gaming club and I've got an interest in it...but I'm a bit confused about the Imperial fleets.

I've downloaded the PDF folders for "Ships of the Gothic Sector" and "Imperial Fleets", but I'm just wondering if both of these actually go hand-in-hand.

Many thanks!

I believe Ships of the Gothic Sector is the Imperial Fleet section from the Battlefleet Gothic Rulebook, and Imperial Fleets is probably the section from Battlefleet Armada. I'm sure these are used side by side, though Armada is more up to date than the rule book, and there are far more ships in the Armada book.

Love Gothic, it's a really cool game, and apart from how the rules for how Fighters and Bombers interact it works pretty well.

Favourite ships? I like the Imperial Dominator and the Chaos Carnage Class Cruisers, and the Cobra Destroyers. It's also great fun coming up with ship names. I have sizeable Imperial and Chaos Fleets and about 6 or 7 converted Imperial Transports and System Ships, as well as a couple of converted Orbital Platforms. Bloody brilliant game, if you can find people that play.

I would shout out to both of you, but you'd never hear me, cos I really am miles away! Try three and an half hours drive, minimum!

Ah but you see Subpono warps time, so you can't really expect anything different can you?
It does however make the Gamesday trip less arduous.

If you are ever down south give us a shout and I'm sure we'd be able to arrange some sort of game

I agree completely, used to live within about 5 miles of it and bad luck

I've still got family there, maybe arrange a game next time I'm visiting?

Great

Does that mean they've now got a store where you can buy GW stuff? Last time I was there the shop that used to sell it had started only stocking it at Xmas

There is no place to buy in Bridgwater. Either have to go to Taunton, Weston or Bristol.
