Nice work on him RC, some of the LOTR models just cry out for scenic bases dont they?
You play much rings round where you are?
edit: whoops, name was wrong...

But he didn't paint it... :p. And yes, yes they do.
You play much rings round where you are?
There are a few of us that collect it now and most of us game with it as well, though I have to admit I haven't for a while now due to really starting to get into Avatars of War/Arena Deathmatch and Warmachine.

So Gamling doesn't get out much to get a suntan? :)
I like the cloours and shading on that cloak.

Haha thanks :P
The skin is more shaded than it looks in the picture although it's a poor picture I must admit.
Thanks anyway guys :)

It looks really good but Gamling is a bit more tanned I fear you made him whiter than he should be :P But if it's the picture quality than it's fine :P
I really liked how you painted the armour, well done! :D

Thanks Acoustico! Aye the picture is a little bright but I feel the skin still could have done with some more shade. Maybe next time :)

Well can't you fix it? like wash the skin or something? sorry I'm not a pro painter so haha that's also for my database, you can't do anything to fix it?

I've already given the model its final Matte Varnish. If it weren't for that I'd be able to give it some more depth quite easily.

Washes still cover matte varnish, and you can always go over it with another coat afterwards.
Nice job on the mini, could do with a little more shading in some places but overall pretty nice
One tip, but a piece of kitchen roll behind the mini when you take photos, makes a lot of difference to the pic and means you don't get distracted by stuff in the background.
