Right ladies and gentlemen anothe Rumble or Stumble challenge has come to end and what a challenge it has become. Tons of finished minis, loads of challenging paintjobs and just good old fashioned fun all round!

You all done a great job lads, some mighty fine paintjob and conversion in there. But now it is time to vote and see just who rumble, or perhaps I should say who rumbles most! So here are the finished minis, or no particular order. The vote is open till this time next week, so plenty of time for everybody to pick their favorite!

Alrighty time for some C&C!

Skringly - I love the color scheme you've put together for your nids. Its a great contrast between two colors that aren't realy.... um.. contrasting! But it looks great. The parts that bother me about your entry are maily involving depth. Particularly the red and black seem to be a bit flat. The bue on the other hand, especualy the brain looks great. I think if you did an extra highlight, or shade color (even if you started your base coat with a little black mixed into your base color) it would add a lot of depth to the blue. The black is a bit harder. Just keep practicing with shading up those greys :-P

CC - Wow! It's a smurf! Who saw that comming!? Either way, this guys is great. The parts that really stand out are the green laurels, the buckles on the cloak (even though you can barely see them) and the face! Mostly the mini is very clean and concise! You're whites (especualy on the cloth) feel a bit sloppy though. I'd point out his elbow, where the white seems a bit thick. Also, it would look better (IMO) if you added a bit of shading to the flat edges of the U symbols all over him. They feel a bit flat. Great job on this guy.

Consadine - <stagger> Another smurf!? What is the world comming to :sick:... The cloth on this guy is absolutly fantasic. The white seems shaded just righ in those creases on the back, and the red have a nice deep shade tone. The line highlights on the blue also came out very very nice (is that space wolf grey?). The only thing that really bugs me about this guy is the headdress. Compared to the rest of the white, it feels a bit dingy. I had the same problem doing Dire Avengers, and I never really solved it, so I'm not exactly sure what to suggest >< Oh, and no baseing ;;; Even so - Good job!

Hephesto - I absolutely love the pose and the base on this bugger, and the dripping slime that you do never fails to impress :-P You've got a nice contrasting scheme with the dark green, and bright red - makes the miniture stand out and appear striking. I'm a little iffy about the wings. I realize you were probably going for a leathery feel, but they look a bit too splotchy. You probably used either a wash or watered down paint, and I think it could have used with another coat to clean it up a bit. The miniature is also very shiny. I think it would benfit from a matte varnish, then a gloss on the important bits (slime, tongue, etc). Looking good!

Japehlio - Wowsers! You get five stars for modeling. I love the wings, the pose, the base. All first class. And ... are those ribs on the gun? If you ever do cast a set of wings like you were talking about a whiel ago, I'll be in line for some :-P On to the painting. You color scheme is great, white and red are a fantstic contrast. The white though feels a bit off, while it looks good, it feels like there should be a few more shades of the color. Dont fret though, I'm not even brave enough to paint a white space marine, the color is just too painfull! :laugh: For the wings, I think you could have benefited from using two diffent colors. Perhaps one for the top section, and one for the main wings. Either way, great job!

Carrelio - Yes yes, your little Tau empire is a little bit impressive. I'll be sending a Craftworld your way soon, and they'll make short work of you :-P Anyway onto the miniature! I love the weathering. She looks like she's just come out of a rough battle. In fact she probably had to retreat from an Eldar host, but thats besides the point! The base is great. Did you add the stuff there, or was it modeled on? The only thing I'm kinda fuzzy on is the highlights on the black. It just sees a bit thick. Did you use white? Perhaps Codex Grey would have been better - a bit subtler. Other than that she's great .... OH... how do you plan to shoot me if you don't have gun barrels!? :p

The Dim Reaper - I think I mentioned previously that I love the "rogue trader" feel of this mini, and I still do :-P The gun is fantastic. The clean armour plates and the shading between them give it that nice crisp look that a Tau gun should have. I do think your reds and browns could do with a bit of depth. Perhaps a red wash on the reds, and a chestnut wash (if you can find it) on the browns. Great job!
