Inquisitor Alex and I will be participating in a painting duel. It starts today and will end Sunday next week. And yes, I do indeed to paint something and finish it. :shocked:

As for my progress; I am a perfectionist. Henceforth I am locked in deadly battle with her face. I auctually spent more time on faces then I do on the entire model sometimes.

Glad you like it - pretty simple, really effective trick I figured out for "viened stone" finish.
Painted the whole set of armor in dwarf bronze, hilighted shining gold, washed with reaper brown ink. All the streaks and patches of turquoise were picked out in white, then glazed with thinned turquoise paint mixed at about 60-40 with water so it stains the white. Finished with gloss varnish to look like polished stone. I'm trying a similar technique with brownish-grey over bleached bone\white streaks on an Inquisitor in termie armor - pics up soon in my wip thread :)

Right, I missed the deadline. For two reasons; I was not able to get on or work on the model during Sunday, and secondly; the model is being a real pain in the rear end to get done. First the face was giving me trouble, now the dark colour scheme is being stubborn. Problem is I can't get enough contrasting colours that fit the scheme whilst complimenting each other. It will take a bit to figure it all out. So I’m going to have to pull out and give the model the time it needs to get finished. Sorry about this.

Yeah, I'll probably give it another shot with a Heavy Weapon team, since I know how to paint their colour scheme decently pretty easily. I reckon I was biting off too much then I could chew with the Repentia, as this is the first time I have made a serious effort at a consistently dark scheme. I'll finish the team up and give it another shot in a second duel.

An ammo box for the base. Meant to be for the missiles, but it is a little too short.
