Hey guys just thought I\'d show you my latest project endeavour!
Its not complete and not painted, so no pictures *yet* but here\'s a paper preview of my new army I\'ve mustered over the summer holidays, a coalition of Blood Angels and their successors led by the mighty Mephiston!
Each force is playable using the Force Organisation chart but I haven\'t worked out the point costs yet, when they\'re painted then I\'ll do my calculations!
Each force is based on what fluff I could find, mostly Index Astartes and Codex Angels of Death.
Anyway...

BLOOD ANGELS - The strongest contingent in the force.
Mephiston - Lord of Death
Honour Guard
Land Raider
Furioso Dreadnought
2 squads of 6 Tactical Marines
5 Assault Marines (maybe Vet)
5 Terminators

BLOOD DRINKERS - Strict followers of the Codex Astartes.
Captain
Honour Guard w/Razorback
Librarian
2 squads of 6 Tactical Marines
3 Bikes & 1 Attack Bike
5 Devastators (4 Missile Launchers)

ANGELS SANGUINE - Strong, Iron-willed warriors.
Captain
Techmarine
5 Terminators
Dreadnought
2 squads of 5 Tactical Marines
Baal Predator

FLESH TEARERS - Fierce but with low numbers.
Captain
6 Close Combat Scouts
5 Tactical Marines w/Razorback
5 Assault Marines
Landspeeder Tornado

ANGELS ENCARMINE - Constantly active, low numbers as a result.
Captain
Librarian
5 Veterans
2 squads of 5 Tactical Marines

ANGELS VERMILLION - Not much known, very secretive chapter.
Captain
Terminator Librarian
5 Assault Terminators
2 squads of 5 Tactical Marines
2 Landspeeders

Undedicated units:
Death Company Chaplain
Sanguinary High Priest
18 Jump Pack Death Company Marines
22 Death Company infantry
1 Death Company Rhino

what do you think? As a coalition it should weigh in at over 3k points :D

looks interesting, not sure how effective it would be but you do have a ton of DC thats for sure

wonder how it would look all together....

Go for the librarian in the angels Saguine, there is a librarian in the death watch series called ashok, he\'s a major nutter and almost unbeleiveable

Nah I wasn\'t going for battlefield prowess, rather I just wanted spectacle!
And in this hobby there are few greater spectacles than over 100 Marines ranked up... except that is, 100 Marines from 6 different chapters allied together for the sake of the Imperium and led by the coolest Librarian ever!

Trick

Never read the Deathwatch books but I know the Librarian you\'re talking about, good plan!

Has anyone else tried a project like this? An alliance of armies, maybe a Tau Sept alliance, an Astartes crusade, a union of Kabals or a Chaos warband.

How do you think it will look ranked up? I\'m hoping the predominantly red colour scheme will be enough to unify them though chapters such as the Flesh Tearers, Angels Sanguine and Angels Vermillion use dark tones.

How do you think they\'d fair on the battlefield? Each one is a legal standalone force around 500 to 1,000pts, could they hold their own in these small games do you think? And what about in a big battle all joined together?

Cheers for any replies
