Consistency of Resin?

Hey all, just got a forgeworld order in for a cadian infantry upgrade and a power generator. Now I'm not new to FW stuff but I've been wondering this a long while. Why are some of the resin kits a darker gray, almost like the GW plastic kit, and an almost similar texture- Meanwhile others are very light gray and have that greasy 'resin feel' that means you better get washing. Just something odd I thought I'd ask about here.

It has to do with the way it is mixed from one batch to the next. The greasy feeling also has to do with the mold releasing agent left on the piece after it is made.
