View Full Version : A Deeper Red
This seems like such a NOOB question, but for the life of me I can't remember the solution.
How do you darken red?? I've got the old Blood Red which is really dark but it's almost gone and I need a really deep dark red for my WoC.
Any help will be most gratefully used and abused.
Cheers in advance.

Dark browns. Alternatively, Devlan Mud wash over a dried red will work as well. You can also use a small amount of dark green (a little goes a long way).

Add chaos black in small increments, or brown. Green will give a deeper red but it will be a browny red.
Paint over a black/ dark brown basecoat.

In this months WD there's an article on shading red with greens and blues... Might be worth a look.

And an article on highlighting deep reds, if my memory serves me correctly.
