Chaps, I'm going to cut straight to the chase: for a project I am working on, I need to collect as many places to buy 40K, Fantasy, and general GW products (the more the better). In this sense, I need your help: what sites do you use?

If people could collect as many of the sites that sell GW products as possible, then that would be an absolute god-send for me. And believe me, you'll all benefit in the end

So, please, what sites do you use (and a link would be nice)? If there are any oddities I need to be aware of that might not be obvious from a brief inspection of the site, then please do feel free to note those as well- in some cases, I may come back to you for a few more questions.

On advice, I would like to make it clear that this project has been approved, repeatedly, by god and 'the guvnor.' ;)

EDIT: Ah hell... wrong one, damn tabs. Could someone move this down to the appropriate board? Cheers.

Well for me it is just Ebay and Total Wargamer, everything I really need ;)

Where so you want the thread moved?

Didn't you start something like this before?

What happened to that?

Don't think so... I started a thread for people to collect their hobby essentials, but it dropped off the radar really. I may revive that at some point though.

This is different, although it too is for the revival of a past project that I never got around to completing. Bran has encouraged me to do so, so here I am reviving it  Although I know a fair few, I would like to make sure that I have a spread of as many as possible, and then I can get going.

Heph- wherever is appropriate, really. I reckon Modeling and Painting would do the trick.

Cheers Heph. So chaps, anyone got any at all. I don't care how small or unusual they may be: if they sell GW merchandise, their useful.

Please note though: If they only sell certain, specific items, or if they sell items only irregularly, then I would appreciate it if you mention that while you're at it.

I typically only buy from my local store, but here is a list of online stores (http://fromthewarp.blogspot.com/2009/01/ftw-consumer-review-list.html) that deal in 40k stuffs.

I've been using Ebay to suppliment my army. Plus they seem to be the only place I can find Witch Hunters for Dzzy.

These are (UK-based) sites that I've bought from that I've found to have a good service:
- Total Wargamer (http://www.totalwargamer.co.uk/)
- Dark Sphere (http://www.darksphere.co.uk/) (previously Miniatures by Post)
- Gifts for Geeks (http://giftsforgeeks.org.uk/)
- Antenociti's Workshop (http://www.barrule.com/workshop/) (great selection of hobby supplies - see the 'scratch builders paradise)

Guys and Gals, we've had some great input here, and I thank you all for that. However, I feel that we need a bit more- the main sites have been covered, but what about those "if you know" sites?

Come on guys, anything you've got is good ;)

Weel there's a ton of other mini manafacturers out there that may be of interest to people, some of the ones I've had dealing with (all of them good)
- Micro Art Studios (http://www.shop.microartstudio.com/index.php) - excellent bases, conversion bits (amazons, orks & gretchin)
- Dragon Forge (http://www.dragonforge.com/Painting%20service/for%20sale/gaming_bases.htm) - bases galore
- Pig Iron Productions (http://www.pig-iron-productions.com/) - awesome minis and a huge range of IG-usable helmet/head kits
- Heresy Miniature (http://www.heresyminiatures.com/) - tons and tons of awesome sculpts and great place for putty and sculpting tools as well
- Secret Weapon (http://www.secretweaponminiatures.com/) - scenic bases, display bases and etched brass letters and runes
- Maxmini (http://www.maxmini.eu/store/index.php) - bits and conversion packs for IG and power armoured units, as well as some ace weapon packs

I think I've gone through all the sites I've used.

Bartertown is one of the biggest trade sites. Used it once, Got ruglud's armoured orcs for a manticore.

Blast, Nomad beat me to Back2Basix :)

Bitz Barn does stuff, however it tends to run out and go for indeterminate amount of times without certain stock. Good for little pieces you need now and again though.

There's also MiniWargaming: http://store.miniwargaming.com/category/warhammer-40k/
Not used it before personally, so I can't vouch for it I'm afraid.

Also, did someone mention The War Store already?
http://www.thewarstore.com/warhammer40k.html

Again, not used it personally.

Alrighty chaps, for now I have enough to work with. That said, please do feel free to post anything else you think can or should be added, the more the merrier!

In the next few days, I may be asking for some more specific input from people who have actually tried the services in questions. If you would like to give your thoughts on any of them, please feel free to post, VM or PM me.

The sort of stuff I will be looking for are: efficiency, delays, speed of delivery, service quality, customer service, and so on. If you have any thoughts on any of them, then let me know!
