They can be any size armies you like. Its just to promote this predominately 40K forum to embrace fantasy :)

I may jump in on this as well, I've some VC that I've had for years that could get done, but then again I've some beastmen that I could do as well. Oh the choices....

Well, Zorganist was kind enough to offer a number of Empire models I needed to help my army get started. Unfortunately, he hasn't gotten around to sending them to me yet, so my hands are pretty much tied until he gets around to it

Well taking a look at the Beastmen models on advance order I feel my mind has been made up. As much as I like the Beasts, I'm going with the Vamps.
So sign me up for some undead action please.

I have the book, so if you give me an example of a rough army list you'd use, I could try making one up quick.

As I consider this a more casual tale of, you only get points for finishing on time. 5 points for on time, 3 for mainly done, 0 for minimal. Playing games won't gain you points. I say this because I know some of us can't get any games in ,and im sure others could get loads in.

And I was wondering, would people be up for multiple army lists in the first month? Say, 500 points, 1500, 2250?

Tall
09-01-2010, 02:20 PM
If you do it like that, you could class it as your monthly goal couldn't you? In the second month (after lists posted and such) work to get 500 points done and so on and so forth?

The Warsmith
09-01-2010, 02:29 PM
hmm, but an 1000 point jump in one month is substantial. I was thinking more so that you finish what you need for the first one within, say, two months, then you expand. But you get say, 3 months. Hmmm, its a possibility Tall.

Tall

What about doing it in 500 increments then, 500-1000-1500 etc, that way your working to a working army all the time rather than random units.

Hello Warsmith,

that's a great competition you are running here. Will you be coming up with the rules soon? If you are still unsure, you are welcome to check out the rules I made (they turned out to work quite well with everybody) up for the 40k equivalent that was hosted last year and feel free to borrow some for yourself

Cheers,
-Silver

Well I have to say I'm tempted but considering how slowly I get stuff built and painted I'd be a shoe in for the wooden spoon lol.

Count me in for a Slaanesh themed WoC army

Skarfang
25-01-2010, 09:54 PM

Now I just need to stock up on some pink paint and find out how depraved I can make a warshrine dedicated to the prince of pleasure without getting my account terminated ;)

Skarfang
26-01-2010, 06:51 PM
Right I've made my decision on armies, its going to be an undivided WoC army for me, rock hard elite little warband made up entirely of Chaos Warriors.

That should keep my model count down, but give me a good enough scope for some interesting conversions and ideas!

Yes I am, my army book should be getting here tomorrow or friday, when I have it I will post pics of my Bray-Shaman of Beast as well as my army list. I am also working on a Bray-Shaman of Shadow so maybe I'll go for some extra points this month. I'm not saying anymore about what I've got going though.

The Warsmith

Still only about a week off... so that's about 2 days  Well I'm in, so let's see if we can't have a crack at it ;) Quick question though: if we assemble MORE than the requirements, are points deducted?

Vulpus Rex
28-02-2010, 10:16 PM
No but that unit can't then be used for the other months targets was my understanding.

Honsou
28-02-2010, 10:26 PM

Well I'm keen to get 'em on the table  I think I have a solution though... just leave 'em with an unfinished base or something :p

Skarfang
28-02-2010, 11:21 PM
or just don't write about it and don't take photos? bingo no one knows and just put photos up for that unit next month instead!
