This was a challenge in applying the colors as there are no Ulthwe Swooping Hawk pictures on the Internet that I could fine. Hopefully this works well!

black looks good bone looks good overall greatness..
and aspect warriors have different colours to the craftworld colours that might be why you couldnt find any...

i thought all aspect warriros where same colour regardless of craftworld? meh either way i like this a lot i think it looks great space elves for the win!

TBH i think you can paint aspect warriors any way you want thats why i think there a good army to paint .

Possibly. I would think that someone would skip the fluff and go for a fully themed army.

i wasnt saying it was a bad thing... i do like it, i think it looks awsome and i would rather a n army felt more unified, and with a striking scheme like that they sure will look the job!

Wow you have done amazing job on my fav Eldar warriors. (useless in a battle or use to be, but I loved them). I like how you have done the black, its highlighted very well *nod nod*

Looks very nice all finished - the snow on the base works well with the black\bone contrasts.

i find highlighting black very difficult for some reason. think youve done an excellent job dude. looks great.

The pure black parts aren't highlighted. I painted the armor plates a dark grey (black + codex grey), then highlighted with codex grey. Pretty easy :)

I love it!!! The Ulthwe colours lend themselves to the hawks nicely. Kudos for posting this guy, I'm only half way through doing my Hawks in the same theme.:cool:

No varnish. Base with Scab Red, wash with Devlan Mud, then use varying reds and red-oranges in the opposite "corner" that the light source is (divide the gem into quarters when painting, helps place paint), then dot some white opposite that.
