Great weapon conversion for guard

Welcome to Arceus' table-of-mishaps, where hundreds of models have met the ends of my hobby knifes and paint brushes:

Messy, I know but that isn't the point right now! Today I'll be teaching you how to make a great weapon conversion for your Guard models...maybe inquisitor ones too. Alright first you will need:
- Lasgun
- Plasma pistol
- Boltgun/pistol
- Cadian sergeant arm
- Hobby knife
- Plastic glue
- Model files (filing thing)
- some green stuff if necessary

STEP ONE: First, get your lasgun and cut it where the Aquila just ends, try to be as neat as you can. Keep the end with the stock and chuck away the part with the barrel, trim/file of if necessary.

STEP TWO: Now cut off the powerpack of the weapon, be careful as the little bit of plastic might jump out when you cut it and hit you in the eye. Be as neat as you can too.

STEP THREE: Now get your Plasma pistol, use your hobby knife and cut where the long line on the barrel as shown, be very neat and careful.

STEP FOUR: EDIT: Get your Plasma pistol "nozzle" and cut it in half, just in between the bigger and smaller sized barrels, keep the smaller sized barrel for a pistol variant or the bigger one for an assault rifle variant or just keep both to make on of each. Same warning as Step Two and be very neat, you don't want it to look crooked.

STEP FIVE: Now get your boltgun/pistol and cut the magazine off, same warning again.

STEP SIX: Now grab all your bits and bobs that you snipped and glue them as shown.

Sweet conversion, my only problem is you use a lot of weapons which can't be used again. Ans some of us don't have any spare plasma guns/pistols lying around.

And now you have your converted weapon! If you added the magazine from a boltpistol then it'll look more like a pistol variant and if you added the magazine from the boltgun it'll look more of an assault rifle. If you want the assault rifle variant then snip off the hilt guard of the Sergeant's chainsword and stick it onto the top to make it look like a carrying handle. Here are some examples:

And the good thing is if you put it on your platoon commander it would look like almost all the weapons he's allowed to ake, which means you can have different weapons in games without changing the arm!

Thank you! And yes, this conversion dose take a lot of different weapons but I'll see if I can find new conversions for the ones I snipped pieces from. I happen to have one too many plasma weapons lying around my room so I thought I'd made use of them. :p

Mez- all the other bits that get hacked? I can see at least 2 other guns in that, so you might try making those as well. With enough, you could add some variety to the squad, or arm different squads with different weapon choices. Always remember the bits that ARENT used in a conversion, I guarantee you'll find a use for them :)

Well, I quoted one of the pic codes pasted it into the address bar and tried to load but it said "The address is not valid".
