Found this guide, seems pretty useful!

Good find, but might I suggest that perhaps you transfer it over here? Might be nicer if people didn't have to go back and forth between the sites.

Kudos though. Rep for the find.

I've got an idea for a Manticore Turret involving most of a Leman russ Turret (backwards) and four of those HK missiles you get with IG tanks. Patch the gap where the Battlecannon goes with the comm array from the IG tank sprue and mount the missiles off the sides of the cargo box (now at the front of turret) I think it'll need a viewport or sensors off the front but that's easy to scratch build. Some kind of round mounts (Leman russ wheels ?) on the sides between the turret and the missile racks.
I'll take "in progress" shots when I do it.

Are you using the old HK missiles (the ones that had there own box launcher) or the new ones???

the one in the pics uses the New Whilrwind I WAS going to use the OLD HK missiles.... but then I figured nothing looks more epic than this:

Trust me. Save up. Be Patient, and get the real deal. It's far worth it. So far none of the "Manticores" inspire gasps of awe when they hit the table top. The real Manticores do. Although if you wanted to make something really cool use some other forgeworld hellstrike missiles for it.

Intersting, but don't FW goods cost a bit of dough?

41 for the complete Manticore kit...

And only 4 more for the two tank kits that you need. You also acquire two tanks as well and considering that you can buy them from your local store right away instead of waiting I think honestly the better idea would be to buy two and have congrats on a cool conversion you nicked! :D

..... okay mine were about $60 after postage.... which is a good bit but $130 and you might want to start thinking about conversions, still the original can't be beat.
