Rookie question I know, but whats the difference between greenstuff and normal modeling clay (you know the stuff that harden in air)?

greenstuff is somekind of plastic polymer, and the modeling clay is somekind of ceramic polymer

If you're looking to buy GS, don't buy GW's. Here is a link (http://www.polymericsystems.com/epoxies-adhesives/epoxy-putty-tapes/kneadatite-blue-yellow.htm) to the company that makes it and sells it to companies like GW. You can get a 36" ribbon of the stuff. 36"!!!

GS is better at holding detail, I do believe. Also more resilient to pushing and prodding when dry.
