Needing editors!

Hey all, want to help out with the mag by becoming part of the staff? We are looking for a new hobby editor and fiction/tactics editor to help out with issue 5 and beyond! I have PMed a few people already (those that jumped to the top of my head right away). If you are interested, however, just post here, PM me or email me at theastromag (at) gmail.com with a brief description of why you think you'd be a good editor (whether you love writing or you are an english major at Oxford or something :p) some of you have reps just based on your names (I read the fiction forums though I rarely post in there! :D). so just let me know! The sooner we get people on board, the sooner we can wrap up issue 5!

As many of you might know by now, I am a grammar nazi :D I love correcting text and always double check my own posts for spelling mistakes before I hit the "post" button. I've also run a spelling check through each and every IG Journal and Apocalypse diaries entry and to be honest, it never bores me and is a lot of fun. Thus I think that my skills with the English language should provide a good reason why I would be a good choice as a pre-release fiction editor - and lastly, I love writing fiction myself and am very enthusiastic when it comes to reading the works of other people.

Thus I would like to apply for fiction editor.

I've also downloaded every copy of the magazine and read through it with great interest. I'm always there when it comes to providing good tactical advice - whether it be Imperial Guard, Eldar, Space Marines, Necrons, Inquisition or Tau, I have extensive knowledge about the creatures and heroes of the 40k universe - and most importantly - about the rules, to always provide a helping hand to those seeking for tactical and/or army-specific advice.

Hereby I would also like to apply for tactics editor.

Silver, right now you'd fill a temp fiction/tactics editor spot since the guy I got (GuinnessGremlin) won't be able to help until next issue. BUT I have a feeling it would make a lot of sense to split it off into one fiction editor and one tactics editor for issue 6 and beyond so you would still be able to stay on as one of them. So just create a gmail account (if you haven't already) and email me at theastromag@gmail.com and I'll start sending you the articles!

I know I'm pretty new here, and I don't post much, but I'd like to have a crack at the hobby editing.

I assume by "hobby" you mean the painting/converting/sculpting etc etc side of things? as anyone who knows me will tell you, I collect only to paint and model, I haven't played a game in about 2 years!

Fortunately I am a Reformed grammar nazi, so I've given up on correcting other people, but I have an A level in English Language and also in French (not that it'll help me with this), so I have a good grasp of linguistic nuances.
