Snow Scatter

Hi all,

ive just started to strip and repaint my High Elves in a better painted dark style, and want to lighten the bases up a little, i thought about snow scatter.

the problem is ive not had alot of luck with Scatter at all, what is the best way to use it? bases on high elves dont really have a lot of space thanks to lots of billowing robes. also are there better alternatives? ive heard baking powder mixed with pva is good?

Pure bicarbonate of soda rather than baking powder mixed with PVA, water and a little white paint (to stop it yellowing) works very well...

I use mine over a base of white polyfilla (to create texture) washed with some dilute blue ink...
