My latest model for Demetrius Zaarin Commander of 2nd Company (find him in the fiction forum!!) needs help.

I have him a body and all but am unsure how best to pose his Lightning Claws. They are the plastic terminator ones and I have three identical pairs just in case i mess up! I am considering using a Bretonnian Knight helm for his head as well

Thanks guys!

OOh, love the idea of the bret knight helm... as for pose, develop a scenic base first and then decide a pose. A commander deserves a decent base, so get some slate or summat an make a nice base, and then once he\'s on the base, take the arm pose from there.

That is my tip for now.

I suppose that would also make the model bigger and therefore he seems more Commanding?

you can change the pose by snipping little parts from the were the arm joins the body. its hard to explain but basicly if you snip 45 angle from his arm pit, at stick it on it will be closer to the body, but if you snip from his shoulder it will be further away if you see what i mean

I do! Thanks for that, I may try that with one of his claws and have it pointing towards an enemy!

OK so I had a go and here is what I came up with!

N.B there is a cloak to be added to the back once the rest is painted!

Now this pose I really like, he looks like some poor sucker is about to recieve a lightning claw spanking! And the helm looks cool as.

Is he meant to be leaning backwards though? its just that he looks a little bit like he just slipped on the rock.

A fair point, I will see what I can do!

You may want to try something more like this for the helmet(red one):

*simply cut the helmet section form the bretonian helm, cut out the front lower half of a marine helm, make sure its not uneven(whoopsie) and then glue, fill gaps with GS

it will still look marine-ish, but have a nice knightly touch to it
