I like the WoC army!

The only thing I would change about it is to give the Blasted banner - it means more of them WILL see combat. They already do enough wounds - so the warbanner is a little bit redundant IMO...

So you have a option for a d3 wound or high strength type weapon? I assume the lord is going to ride with the Knights, so they're bringing a boatload of str5 attacks.. I'd worry about stuff with lots of wounds or a high toughness. (Greater Demons, or Treemen for instance.)

that's what the Dragon Ogre's are for. 10 S7 Attacks, the Ogres are giving me 17 S6 Attacks, the lord 6 S6 attacks w/ killing blow and the knights 15 S5 magic attacks + 10 S4 attacks. The Warriors give me 22 S4 attacks. Using the marauders as flankers and such, I should be good to go by combat res against Daemons, and lumberjack the Treeman

Well, you only need 15pts to get the blasted standard... So if you drop the unit champ, you have more than enough pts.

Are you going to send a hero with the knights?

If so, I can understand that you took the champ.

If not, he might be a bit redundant and sometimes get the unit into trouble...

But anway, like I always say - it depends on your play style and tactics, and you also have to playtest the stuff you want to see how it works for you! I'm just giving advice from my own experience.

Anyway, like I said before - I like that list of yours, I think it's a good 'un! :D

as nice as this would be, the store has a lot of bad ass players

Took the Warriors list...

Rd1 vs Empire..
He had a lot of Knights, Karl Franz on a Dragon and a Steam tank... Killed all but Karl
Solid Victory and 17pts

Rd2 vs DK elves... 2 bolt throwers, 2 units of crossbowmen, one unit of spear men, unit of Dk guard, Malikai and a unit of cold ones, 1 hydra. His cold ones vs my Knights and lord. because of the war shrine had 0+ AS and still failed 3. Lord fought Dark Elf king to a stand still, failed Lds check got run down, Good game.

rd 3 vs Orks... Two units of Savage Orks, 6 units of Goblins, one unit of boar boyz, 2 units of Spider riders, 1 unit of wolf riders, 4 bolt throwerz, two pump wagons and like 10-12casting dice. He kept using the goblins as sheilds and forcing me to charge goblins while he swarmed my units to get combat resaults. he one by a minor victory when my wizard miscast, then rolled snake eyes.

lost to a minor victory - 5 pts.

Lessons- Foot troops suck, need more calv or another wizard. need one more unit of Marauder horseman. take out the chaos warriors.

Yeah Dave, I had much the same realization.. fighty units on foot are just not fast enough. Especially with some of the Scenarios we used. Unless you have some heavy shooting to force your opponent to come at you, expensive foot units are just wasted points.

or you need a crap load of them. Like an all foot troop army with maybe a few Light Cav to act as a screen/ march block. They have to be big armor, Like chaos warriors w/ sheilds for a 3+ sv against shooting, or something with a ward/ regen save.

but in an army where every thing is moving 6+ they just don't do anything but waste points
