Interesting work...hmmm. Necrons don't have any personality...which is something I both struggle, and delight with..
Not to sure with the "Ram-prow" of the Destroyer....'Crons are more "Techno-organic", as opposed to the "Bio-techno" of the 'Nids...
Points for originality...:) Not sure how it would work though.....

This is the best peice of modelling I have seen in a long time. I love the use of the nid bits!:D

I am also enjoying your simple paint scheme. Clean and very effective.;)

ok final pics.

The story is shagafug, who should be immortalised in orklore, was the last ork standing and was now fearless, he had just split an necron warrioir in half and is about to advance when he is speared by a destroyer, and as necrons do, this warrior is looking up at said ork just before he is about to ressurect, l'l stop havering now and let you see the pics.

thanks Commodore, the colour scheme is simple cos l aint no artist, and try and try as l have l just cant get to grips with all the great colouring techniques, one of the colours l have used is of my own making and have decided to name it space blue. l am pleased that this model, although not possible cos of the nids bits, has been to your liking :D

hahaha, unfortunately, l only had a spare ork or l would have used a space marine if l had one to waste.

so l ask you this, is a dead bug better than a dead smurf, tough call l know, but l know who l'd like to see the back of.......

The Commodore
30-01-2009, 01:07 PM
It's gotta be the ork..., surely:p

killer toaster
30-01-2009, 01:12 PM
l could happily go on all day killing orks :D as oppposed to spending all bl**dy day trying to kill smurf's and thier bl**dy brothers, cousins ect.........

erm erm, l take it you play the SM's:o ach well still detest them SM's:p

The Commodore
30-01-2009, 01:17 PM
Indeed I do play those glorious boys in blue....

killer toaster
30-01-2009, 01:24 PM
the only glorius boys in blue are those that play for my local football team ;):D nothing against yourself, its just that SM's are a pain in my 40K life :(

kharn the betrayer
30-01-2009, 01:36 PM
Ah Space Marizes the ones we all love to hate.....

I have their spiky cousins but it can be a bit irritating when every second army you play is a marine. But thanks to the nes orks now every second army is an Ork......

So I can't wait until the Dark Eldar book, every 100th army will be Dark Eldar...

l've given this fella a ubber drill, which is what has impailled (sp) the smurf, he also has the left arm of the lord, for the record and although it cant be seen :(, the drill has entred the smurf just under his chin and penetrates out of the lower back, hope you get the pic, that l just cant seem to be able to get for you all :(

http://www.astronomican.com/forums/picture.php?albumid=182&pictureid=1639

Nice anyone who kills Ultramarines has my vote...

Try dripping some PVA or wood glue down the back to simulate gore, thn paint it red and you got another vote. Hay thats more than our present PM got so there you go run for office.....

killer toaster
24-02-2009, 09:31 PM
have tried that with the destroyer and ork, just couldnt get the consistancy right to produce a drip and yet again it has let me down, will continue to try to get it right so watch this space, have another model in the pipeline

edit to add, cheers kharn for the vote, maybe l should run for office as you as my advisor, kept at arms lenght of course, we all know how unpredictable kharn can be...;)
