Just because something's expensive points wise shouldn't put you off, if it fits in with what you're planning army wise I'd suggest you try it before you dismiss it completely.

Well it'd be replacing half of your character slots if I remember correctly leaving 2, if you don't go mad on them, you're not going to far above a standard level of points on characters .

It's doing the job of three runesmiths' magic res wise.

Undispelable magic.

It is a lot of eggs, but they're particularly valuable eggs and they're in a bloody solid basket.

Even more so if you include a master engineer ;)


I suggest you try it before the mini gets shelved permanently.

No need for MRo Gromril on Lord replace it with rune of stone and save yourself 20? points.

700 points on heros is quite a lot.

Why no unit champions?

I think there is a rule about having a great weapon with magic runes on it.. It has to have a rune to make it a great weapon.
So your Lord and Thane with great weapons both need to be changed a bit.

Ah yeah! Good idea.
Im also still confused about Runes on Great Weapons, some people I've seen say its a no-go, yet the store manager at my GW says its fine, maybe he got confused I dunno but I'd like to know =/

You're right.

No need for them, you're not gaining anything.

Remove them, save 12 points and get another Ironbreaker/champion.

Edit Theres nothing wrong with putting runes on GWs, ie not illegal, but there's no point unless you're using the MR of Kragg the grimm. Confers the GWs rules (+2 strength, strike last) but means you can't put any other MR on them.
