As is to be be expected we have some teething trouble here.

As I mentioned before we changed software everyone will need to reset their password.

When trying to reset your password you may get banned.

I am unbanning people as we speak and if you try to log in with your newly requested password you should be able to get in once I have unbanned you.

I will keep checking bannings everyday for the next few weeks.

Apart from that it has taken all day to sort this.

Obviously the visuals need Astroing up but I can work on that in the next week or so.

IMPORTANT: If you get 2 emails when reseting your password look for the one that has a new password in it not the one that asks you to reset password on the site. If you do this you should not get banned.

I'll look into what is causing 2 emails to be sent as soon as I can.

Hello All

Just a note to let people know that I will be moving the Astro forum over to some new software within the next fortnight.

As part of the move over the first time you try to log in you will need to reset your password.

I'll provide more details later, but for now just make sure that the e-mail address attached to your email address (within your account) is valid and that you can access it. You'll need to access your e-mail in order to reset your password.

Anyway, just a quick heads up. I'll send the e-mail around in the next few days and the transfer will take place probably next week.

If my calculations are correct today is Astro's second birthday

Thought I'd give you an update on progress on the site at this time (If you don't like technical stuff feel free to skip this bit).

As you may know I'm planning on moving over to a commercial forum package, I've bought the software and have built a test server to try exporting all the posts and users from the current software to the new system.

This is where I'm stuck at, on my test server (my laptop basically), everything imports fine until I get to the posts (you guys must be being too prolific or something), it then falls over, taking my laptop with it.

I'm currently chatting to the technical bods at vBulletin (the software I have bought) and I'm trying to work it out. It may take a few weeks.

(OK technical stuff over).
